Operated by GMVN- Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, Its one of the things to do in Auli as to gives a spectacular view of the Himalayan Range and the Alpine Forest, Meadows below.
The journey costs 750 INR/Head (To and Fro, valid for 3 days)

Is the ropeway ticket valid for one time use in 3 days or can be used multiple times? Alternatively, how easy is it to get a taxi to come down to Joshimath from the ski resort?
Shreeji Pharmachem The ticket can be used only twice.. once for going up and then for coming down.. From the ski resort it's very difficult to get a taxi... Its better to hire a taxi from Joshimath.. Go to Ski resort in That and also come back in it... There is no taxi stand near the ski resort... It's only the already hired cabs that can be spotted there..

When did you travel? Do we get to see snow in November /December?
Hey Tousif, Its difficult to find snow in Nov-Dec... Post mid-January the chances increase and remain till mid Feb.. We went there on 28th Feb 2018 and this particular video was shot on 3rd March (the date is mentioned in one of the scenes of the video)..

Hey... It's impossible to find snow in Mid October... The snow falls in high winter... Which is late December till mid February... And also depends upon the season's snowfall... So it's highly unlikely to find snow in October...

Pre booking the ski course is not required... but do book hotel beforehand..

Can I find snow equipment like shoes etc there? and what are the rates?
They are easily available on rent ... The charges depends sometimes hour wise sometimes for the whole day... But it's not very high..

If I want to go to tower no 8 from josimath then what option I need to consider chair car from josimath or ropeway or I need to buy ticket for both?
Chair car is from Auli Ski Resort till tower 8... From Joshimath it's the ropeway only.

I had seen that the ropeway poster at josimath was saying that 3.30 pm ropeway transport is for night stay at auli!! @@samyak46 Hey... If you watch the Rope way part carefully, you will see people deboarding with suitcases... Hence, luggage can easily be carried in the Ropeway (we have personally not tried it although).. in Ski Chair lift however it's gonna be difficult...

@@samyak46 That would be better if you call and check with the resort... We stayed at Auli ski Resort too... But we had driven till there... Hence it wasn't a problem for us.. in Ski Chair lift, it will be difficult... But not impossible... As the main purpose of the ski chair lift is to bring the skier uphill with all the gears..

The ticket is valid for 3 days... So you can take a two way ride anytime within a span of 3 days.. same is applicable for the ski chair lift.. we took rides on two different days 😊

Din ke pehle ropeway me se Jake Shaam ke last rope way a skate hai.. ropeway ki ticket 3 din take valid hot hai. Ropeway me ek bar me 25-30 log hi char skate hai.
