House of the rising sun! I am a boomer and I put together a folk group when I was 12. This was one of the songs we played at the Jr. High talent show. Two of us played the guitar. I was one of them. What a nice memory-trigger. It is as if Ren has a special power that guides him to perform music that dives into our past, our present, and our future hopes. He transcends time, space, and cultures. It almost felt like Ren knew that I would be watching this specific reaction and played this particular song just for me❤.

It's so hard to smile in the face of pain. But, if that young man & his father were there, what would they say? My guess is something like "Thank you for loving us and trying to spread positivity and love to everyone! Don't let your light stop shining. We are ok. Please smile, feel happy, dance, all the happy things. Otherwise , our lives have only resulted in sadness." You have every right to cry, be angry, worry for your family, anything. But don't feel bad about celebrating their lives too. You can honorably remember them in happiness too. They would hate for you to lose your beautiful light. Allow yourself to feel and let that pendulum swing from the dark back to the light. And allow yourself to swing back to the dark when it's how you feel. Dance that dance that Ren taught us all about. I hate listening to people chew... I've changed seats at restaurants because a family member was chewing meat (loudly). I just couldn't. Ren chewing doesn't bother me. I think knowing his food issues and how hard it is for him, has over-ridden my ick factor. It's fascinating really.

I hate listening to people chew... I've changed seats at restaurants because a family member was chewing meat (loudly). I just couldn't. Ren chewing doesn't bother me. I think knowing his food issues and how hard it is for him, has over-ridden my ick factor. It's fascinating really.
