About The Nanny:
Fran Drescher stars as Fran Fine, a street-smart young woman with a face out of Vogue and a voice out of Queens who stumbles onto the opportunity to become nanny to the children of a wealthy widower, Maxwell Sheffield. You know, it was really nice of Maxwell jump in to attend to the "gay" guy's feelings when he thought the kiss was nonconsensual
I know that was so sweet and wholesome lol.
i really liked that too :)
He thought she was trying to force herself on him lol
No?
“Look she’s got lipstick all over you!” Aw Max that was so sweet (and the line so perfectly delivered haha)
Whatever marketing company is cutting together these clips is KILLING IT. Such good work. Short enough to watch, with enough context to get a full laugh, and it really entices you into thinking about the show.
The show was just magic in general. I always wondered why it didn't get as much hype as some of the other old shows.
and that's exactly why I started watching the show. UA-cam gets it right sometimes
I'm so happy I decided to start watching the show. It's sooo worth-watching.
@@storyjunkie35 Fran doesn't take herself seriously
I love how Fran is shocked and horrified to learn that he's straight and not gay
"We both want the same things...except one...no, actually we both want that thing too." 😂😎
Like Niles needs anyone's permission to tell Miss Babcock 😂
@@Helga7850 She walked in on them some other time ...
He wanted to tell her before Maxwell was all
He did tell her. Only it was in writing
My God, Fran's fashion is INSANE
Insanely fabulous
That whole last scene with Fran and Max is chaotic as hell 🤣
Right? Neither Fran nor Maxwell notices that she's in her underwear? LMAO! :)
@@Boxermom0317 oh Maxwell notices but he's ENGLISH, therefore uncomfortable to the maximum and unable to point the obvious to Fran 🤣🤣
@@charliez077 Good point! I hadn't thought of that. 😆
@@charliez077 He’s POSH English. That’s the difference.

Even before developing romantic feelings for Fran, Maxwell was always threatened by other men Fran was involved in
He had started developing a crush on her towards the end of season one, so that’s why he was always threatened by him other men
@@whosaprettykitty5076 True
@@whosaprettykitty5076 I don't blame him! She's hot!
He’s had romantic feelings for her for over a year at this point.
He's just afraid to commit because he doesn't want to lose her like he lost Sarah.
The look between Niles and Maxwell starting at 4:50 is pure gold!! You could just read the little conversation between the two!! 😅
I laughed so hard that I think my neighbors 3 blocks down heard me.
Niles looked like " I am really glad to you 👍"
This and the hospital shaving scene are still two of the most funny moments that make me really laugh out loud no matter how many times I see them 😁
YESS!!! 😂😂😂
Yessss!!
And the “you still live with your mother?” “Take me”
It's so funny that Niles appears exactly at the right time.
I love how niles completely Stan them when nobody else did😂😂
Niles face looks so funny during the "get it on" part. It makes that scene much more hilarious.
Niles' reaction was perfect
5 min of great performances by 3 actors, were overshadowed by a single line of Daniel Davis 😄😄😄
one of the most ICONIC episodes!!! the whole sequence from tiramissu until Niles' last line is PURE GOLD :)))
I adore how protective Mr. Sheffield is of Kurt - "MISS FINE!!! Will you leave this poor man alone!!! Oh Kurt, you must be feeling terrible, omg she's got lipstick all over you...(Fran checks herself in the mirror)" 😂😂😂
I have never laughed harder than the ending, omg 😂😂
Considering Fran Drescher and her real life husband, this episode is all the more hilarious!
Haha yes. The opposite happened to her 😂
What happened??
@@diannap9323 the man playing the male nanny was her real life husband, but he actually turned out to be gay irl.
The man playing Kurt is Christopher Rich, he was never married to Fran Drescher.
@@brayin You’re thinking of Peter Mark Jacobson. This guy is Christopher Rich. You also may remember him as Brock from the show Reba.
This show's physical comedy is on point! 👏🏽
Off-topic but that leather jacket is to die for! One of many ICONIC looks on Fran.
A Gianny Versace creation,
Fashion is never off topic
@@vichonoma Fair enough, lol
Niles face😂 I’m screaming🤣🤣🤣
"You know I'm beginning to wonder about you too" 🤣🤣
When Niles said that I was like "Yes Niles, you better brag about it to Cece"
Niles filled in the most hilarious closure to the scene.😅
OH NILES!😂🤣 You are a riot!
Imagine Niles have a cellphone... that would be exciting 🤣
omg the THINGS he could do with that...!
(reminds me of the episode where they were considering moving to a LA house with top modern intercoms - Niles was on cloud nine 🤣🤣)
Kurt was the only man max wasn’t EXTREMELY jealous of
Oh, he was once he found out Kurt was straight.
Love this episode, is so funny. The scenes with Kurk are really good. "Did your mother know?"
Niles' eyes 👀👀👀...Fran's proclamation of being too hot 🔥... Maxwell stern statement of GET ON THE BED...Lord do they make me 😂
Niles...facial expressions 🤣
I thought he was going to run and get Babcock 😂😂😂😂😂
I love how progressive the nanny was back in the 90s, when gay themes are usually “the problem” of the episodes and everything has a negative tone, Fran always handles the LGBT issues the best, she has been a ally for the community for years, and she’s still vocal about it till this day ❤️❤️
She was married to a gay man who was part of the show so it only makes sense
there's a wonderful recent vid on this which even Fran shared on her Facebook!
ua-cam.com/video/ex46JkQ0Dg4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MattBaume
she is indeed a wonderful ally and the way The Nanny treated LGBT+ issues was absolutely wonderful, especially back in the day!!!
That's one aspect why I love this series so much
So many shows were so sexist, homophobe etc
Even if I loved them when I were young I can't enjoy them anymore.
I just love the nanny for being a save place
Just to add, she is the Christmas mama I never knew I needed, but so desperately did as a child. I tell you: watch The Christmas Setup -even off-season- and let the feels surround you.
@@lauraschuster2502 Except for stuff like the one episode where they wore brownface 🤢
Journal: "What the Butler saw...😲". 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Besides the dress part is fantastic, the dialogues say so much! As a child I didn't realize that.
"Well almost all of my sensitive areas" 🤣🤣
Kurt and Fran could’ve worked. She was really herself around him. He accepted her. She accepted him.
This guy was also in Happily Divorced with Fran Drescher after many years.
oh my god that last scene had me absolutely cackling
Niles face is the best! HAHAHA
Niles reaction captured me lol 😂😂😂😂😂
I just love Fran and Mr. Sheffield. 😍
The whole top removal scene 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone else also in love with the red dress with the cut-outs?😍❤
WE didn't notice ... we had imaged this outfit for 3 years in our fantasies.
There's a fascinating quality of this sitcom, how meanings and positions are being shifted or even flipped upside down in clever lines and word plays, making perfect sense for the characters in that moment. Frans clown-like mimics + timing are the cherry on top.
Her figure is so nice
This show just keeps getting funnier, every time I see it! :)
This is one of the most progressive and best clips. Fran is so cute, her outfits are insane
Watched a video on how The Nanny treats gay people like people and the whole conflict is not them being gay. I love this show more and more!
And this was the 90's!!
@@charliez077 Yes it was the 90s. So what?
So…I know we’re prioritizing the “get it on” part of this scene (as we should), but has anyone noticed that Fran has the case she used in the pilot when she was selling make-up on the door in her closet? I think that was a nice touch :)
I noticed that took 😊
She had it in the final episode too.
Niles is the biggest Fran Sheffield shipper
I'm gonna say it again. NILES IS THE BEST! And his face omg 😂
Mr. Sheffield: Miss Fine, would you leave this poor man alone?
Fran: WHAT?!
😂😂😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣
3:30 & 3:32
Niles gives my bleak days life🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
04:08 Fran Fine: ALL RIGHT, WHILE YOU'RE HERE, TELL ME, SHOULD I TAKE THIS BACK?
Maxwell Sheffield: I THINK YOU SHOULD PUT IT ON.
04:13 Fran Fine: NO, I ALREADY HAD IT ON. IT FLATTENS OUT MY-- OH, MR. SHEFFIELD?! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?!
I totally read this in Fran's voice
@@thesunshineisgrae6987 me too!
Max then said he didn't notice
Yeah, right! Lol!
I've watched every episode of The Nanny at least once and I still teared from laughing at this scene.
2:31 her walk🤣
Niles' reaction LMAO
The last scene🤩.just one of my favorites make me smile after 100 times
I feel like this whole sequence could have happened before in an episode of "Three's Company" lol
Exactly
Three's Company ❤️
lol it did
God Niles is the greatest 😂😂😂
2:16-5:00 this whole sequence HAS to be one of the funniest sitcom sequences EVER. There's like five individual 100% hillarious scenes and it keeps getting better and better!!! ❤❤😂
2:36 will always be my favorite.
Aaaaaaaaaarrrrr, you saw me without make-up on! 😂😂😂😂
Love this episode! Now that's the kind of guy I like! Liking you for who you are and are friends. Niles! ❣🤣
I was waiting for Niles to bring CC lol
Is this the actor that played Brock from Reba? Love it :)
Yes, that's him
Yup noticed
It is Christopher Rich from Murphy Brown he was the dim-witted anchorman Miller Redfield and he was in Reba also.
The best scene ever! 😅😅😂😄🤣🤣🤣
I loved watching this show growing up! At first I wouldn't watch it bc Frans voice irked me but one day the show ended up on, I gave it a chance and ended up loving it and watching it everytime I get the chance! Lmao my man can't stand her voice, but I actually love it now! Fran is also such a beautiful woman!! 💜
00:08 Mr Sheffield taking a look at Fran ;)
Too bad we never got to see if Niles told C.C.
He told her later.
@@Asukenick yes, he wrote it down on a piece of paper!
This is one of my favorite episodes!! Love it. 😂👍🏻
One of the best scenes ever!!!!😂😂😂
This show was great the first time I watch it, better the second time I watch it and I feel like I would watch it a third time
I just loveeeee this scene 😂😂😂
this might be the best scene ever
Among one of my fave scenes 😂. Niles was a perfect butler. Miss the show, and it brings back memories. Best sitcoms were from the 80s to 20s. Good old days!!
Is this the episode were her head get stuck in a shirt and Niles think they are getting it on. 😂😂
@3:31 😂🤣 omg how would he think Fran was harassing the guy it was a consensual kiss!
I would kill to have her wardrobe
Niles face! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is Gold .
I love Niles😂😂😂😂😂
I laugh out loud every time….
Great show. Love Niles and Ms Babcock banter
Best scene ever 😀
