- The hunt is on for Sonic the Hedgehog. His longtime friends and recent acquaintances are turning over every rock. Little do they know, however-Sonic has defected to Dr. Eggman's side. The maniacal genius convinced him that he was born to serve in the name of "world peace."
The gang must find the deluded hero and bring him back to his senses before it's too late. As the situation spirals further out of control and the mystery of the Sonic Androids deepens, unlikely alliances will form.

Ya, there's a good chance that Sonic might realize his mistaken trust during the events of Generations if not before.
But this timeline still has merit for continued stories with Shadow's more noble & just attitude offering different outcomes to later scenarios.
If it gets all the way to Forces, Shadow might be a good resistance leader in Sonic's absence.
Oh yeah I can imagine that just When his past self see him and then maybe his past self will talk for the first time and start reminding him of their origins and then sonic would start to get all of his memories back

There are only 4 people that can handle Sonic In a fight.
Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, and Metal Sonic
All all of them including Sonic are very dangerous in their own right. Every one of those 4 people fought Sonic in a stalemate or wins or loses depending on the choice but because a Sonic doesn’t hold anything back he is definitely going to be freaking impossible to beat.
I think I mean in 3 & Knuckles he got beaten by Sonic and even Tails and other games
I love whenever Tails gets serious about things. It really highlights his intelligence and how much he's learned about being a hero from Sonic

This twist on the end of Sonic Adventure 2 has quickly turned Eggman into a major threat.
But as a trade-off, this Lawful Good depiction of Shadow is very refreshing and much appreciated.
I knew there was a good reason I subscribed.
Eggman has always been like that. One moment he is a nightmarish threat and another he is quite comedic, and sometimes he is both.

Sorry if that sounds rude, I never read the Archie comics and never intend to. But please, enlighten me with a tale of how this concept would work in such a comic series such as Archie.
@@lisah147 I haven't read much of it, but I do know that Sonic becomes king, Tikal and Chaos fuse and become Tikaos, Shadow becomes the leader of a group trying to usurp the throne because he thinks he'll do it better, and several of the main cast have kids (most of which are basically just mini versions of their parents with some minor personality differences).
Can we just appreciate how much work is put into this? The detail and work in this is truly amazing!

I'm in shivers after Eggman traps the party underground. The what if has a similar feel of hopelessness as the Metal Virus arc from the IDW comics. Except this time, Eggman has all the cards.

YEAH, he has the same personality as idw Eggman. In issue 26, Eggman tries to get into Sonic' s head by mentioning all the mistakes he's made so far, and by asking him how much grass he infected. He's really dark and manipulative in that scene, and he definitely feels the same way in this what if series. I like it! This is the type of Eggman we need in a Sonic game!

Metal's fate is a lot more depressing after reading the IDW Sonic annual, which showed Metal afraid the real Sonic would replace him once he fell into the doctor's control.
... Jesus. When you use your Eggman voice, your appearance actually changes with how sinister you get (8:30 - 8:47). Love how your bangs even begin to fall! You get so into character with your voice acting, and I hope that you continue to bring forth as much character as you can in these What-Ifs (or maybe even in future projects)

What about a What If where Metal Sonic turned good after being beaten in Sonic Adventure 2. Tails finds him and brings him back online, to see that he still as free will and wants revenge on Eggman for abandoning him. (He can speak in his normal form from now on too)

That was such an interesting cliffhanger you left us on! I couldn’t believe Sonic would smile at the scene before him, but he did. And with the team being so greatly outnumbered, I doubt they’ll see beyond just a couple days. And these are SONIC androids we’re talking about here! Everyone might feel genuine guilt for let alone hitting one of them. And Amy? Oh boy, don’t even get me started on how she might feel if she has to fight all these Sonics.
I really love how dark your making this series. It sets a really nice struggle with the heroes, and it’s honestly what I think should’ve happened in SA2. Sonic should’ve been the one to fall instead of Shadow. I mean, come on, SEGA! We just got a new character introduced and he’s the best one by far, and you just kill him off, brushing him aside like it’s nothing! Like why!?
Don’t push yourself to making the next part of this What If series too soon. You deserve to take all the time you need. Take a nice two-week break first. You absolutely deserve it all!

Sega scourge I wanted to tell you that when a person has amnesia they don’t forget things that are important such a walking talking etc the thing is people with amnesia still keep their personalities which was the case for shadow even though he forgot who he was he still had his personality what I’m saying is if sonic did have amnesia he would still act like a free spirited hedgehog because that is who is not like some edgelord like shadow
True true, and he *is indeed* very free-spirited in this What If! In fact, it's his free-spirit that's led him on the hunt for his past - and inadvertently into the hands of Dr Eggman! He just does what he wants, when he wants.

I did not think of that also I had an idea for a what if it is what if sonic never met tails now at first it might be a bit basic and sound like an 8 year old came up with it but when you start to think about it’s really interesting for example since sonic never met tails he would probably have to pilot the tornado himself to get to wing fortress or how would he get to angel island or defeat eggman in marble garden

I watched part 4 before this due to not watching UA-cam for a while, no wonder I was clueless what was going on.
I would love to see a video on what if metal sonic suddenly became good. I'd like to see metal sonic going through an identity crisis and learn to become a good person and even teaming up with sonic. Then silvers future would be him aiming after metal sonic and sonic. So it would be interesting to see just how good of a tag team metal sonic and sonic would be and what heroes would be if metal wasn't the main villain.
I can't wait for today's episode!!!! I hope rouge is the one to stop him

See, the moment the main character goes rouge everything is dangerous. And if sonic goes super, best believe fleetway coming back. That's not all either, we still gotta worry about the black arms arrival in the shadow the hedgehog story line. All I'm saying is that this story may be an even darker and grimmer story that dc comics and the canon shadow game will fear. I can't wait for part four of this!!!
