"Home", the third song from the U.N.I. ep album, is an open letter of Deja's desire to visit the place she only has fond yet vague memories of, the land of her ancestors - Kinshasa, Congo. Matty The Chef takes listeners on a melodic trip that creates a picture of the lush green palm trees, loud market vendors, and the smell of some street food meats grilling with a side of pili pili that is Kinshasa!
"Home" is not just for the Congolese American, but all African Americans, or any foreigner longing for moments back home, wherever in the world that may be.
