Once the restrictions are lifted again I’m going to have to take a drive up to Carlops. I don’t know how many times I’ve gone through there and I had no idea of the history there. That was fascinating Mark. Thank you. 🙏🏻😎🏴
Hi Mark it would be interesting if you brought your plant music device to both the top and bottom of that hill to see what kind of noises the trees would be picking up. This video also made me sad for those woman. Whatever thier beliefs many had good intentions tried to heal and help people. Early medicine came from whom they called witches.
Such ironies among these Celtic peoples. My father's grandmother was stopped at Ellis Island in New York and sent back home to Ireland at the turn of the last century. She had some form of 'consumption'. Once she returned her father took her straightaway to the town witch to heal her, which he did. She returned six months after visiting the witch, and I am writing this comment a little more than 100 years later. Thank God they did not kill all of the witches.
Very interesting Mark, and lovely editing as per usual. I had no idea carlin might mean witch, but there's a Carlin's Tooth south of Bonchester Bridge. Not sure if you'd want to look for a witch traversing boggy paths in the darkest part of Britain, but it's in the Scottish Borders.
Glad to see you creating more channel content. Missed you. 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼💁🏻♀️💖
