In strong point no.2, the eyes thing that you said was so true. He always used his eyes as his advantage especially in the films like Guzarish and ZNMD... "The eyes Chico, they never lie"
totally loved the film!!! first half was great , second half looked a bit too exaggerated. overall a pretty good watch.VFX in 3D was GREAT. will give 4/5
Totally agree with last point, Deepika was underutilised. Barring Pathaan, the female lead in Siddharth Anand films has always been badly utilised.
Preity Zinta in Salaam Namaste, Rani Mukerji in Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bipasha Basu in Bachna Ae Haseeno, Priyanka Chopra in Anjaana Anjaani all were well utilised in the narrative of the film. Especially Preity and Rani, both were integral parts of those stories.

Deepika was only chosen for star power in the movie only to be overshadowed by Hrithik and Anil Kapoor just like she was overshadowed in most of her previous films

Deepika's character definitely was balancing thing for the films strong action package, her chemistry with hrithik was the highlight also the little behind story of her past with her father & highlighting how society only sees life for women in one direction & her fighting for her dreams , i think it was solid.
good review, but i think the villain was pretty good and deepika was utilised well, also sher khul gaya was random. the bgm and cgi was very good aswell, and the performances and balance of narratives between each charcater and the emotional connection this mocie made audience feel in the sad scenes was very well done.
I liked the villain in this movie, he was good. The way movie showed patty’s character overpowering the villain until the last moment was really satisfying.

Dialogues and Villain is much better in pathaan than Fighter. But the emotional moments and team dynamics are more in fighter
And action is much better in fighter

The dialogues are written by Hussain Dalal ( of Brahmastra fame).
Hard to believe that this guy wrote dialogues for YJHD, Karwaan etc.
Siddarth Anand sir is currently best director of Indian cinema in choreography of action scenes like even tough Pathaan had average story but the way action scenes were choreograph that took the movie to entire different level

Kyo ki ek din audience bhi roj ke action se saturation point par aa jayengi aur tabh masala/action based ka craze khatam ho Jaye ga.

The "Man of the Match" dialogue was amazing imo
Just watched the movie loved it as graphics were mind blowing, Villain he played it very well but to me should had given him more aggressive dialogues and role according to his personality, even Anil Kapoor's acting at climax scene in the cockpit was literally bad according to what he played in whole movie, Heer Aasmani gives goosebumps, ending could had been better. Overall best one 👍🏻.
They made the villan a superman , he has so much plot armor its, crazy.
Aerial action very hard to make and there is no successful movie in this genre in India so Indian people should encourage this brave initiative of aerial action It's wonderful experience. Sid anand presented it with patriotism,Romance,drama,Music don't miss this.May be u won't see a film like this in ur lifetime. Everyone's career best work.

Agree with you.. from my opinion, the makers tried to balance the mass and cinephiles interest in the dialogues. Yes it was over the top, but its gonna take some time to shift the perspective of mass audience of Indian films. A good case study would be Domino's selling Paneer Tikka masala pizza in India. Anyways, I feel Rishabh has done a good job, yes his character development was weak, we hv seen Sid creating Jim in Pathaan. But John is a more experienced actor than Rishabh to pull off that kind of persona. But I feel good for him that we have seen him and I believe he will be better in his next projects. And ofcourse for Deepika, her arc in the film is only the women empowerment in Air Forces. Which I feel could have been developed more deeply to get her performance. But that would have deviated the storytelling of the main narrative. Overall, a good film. We need more films like this to push Bollywood capabilities.❤
Prabhas is good but better when defined by Director. But Hrithik is far ahead of Prabhas.

There was scene of Hrithik in Marathi movie and it was a cameo... But in that couple of minutes scene Hrithik show the emotion through his eye and expressions where the best.. he didn't had any dialogues but those expression where really great and that moment I realised that HRITHIK is Really Really Great Actor And Then Here's GUZARISH....❤️❤️🔥

I differ with you on this.Dialogues are the highlight of the film. It gives you goosebumps especially during the climax scene. Salute to the dialogue writer.
The villian 's acting was really good but he should have more role...deepika is just running after a guy...first half was gripping second half was bakwaas

You have made a great point that Fighter should not be compared to Top Gun Maverick, we should be happy that FIGHTER being an Indian Film has the best VFX, CGI, BGM, cinematography and action scenes. Its a great movie and the director and the caste of the movie are confident and have made a great movie .

Deepika range as an actress is good but after 2019 she's stopped doing experiment with her role. Though she's really good as an commercial actor but I'm a fan of that deepika who did Piku, Padmavati & Malti & Alisha.
Her in gehraiyaan was something what i call acting but sadly Indian don't understand such detailed & philosophical films, i really believe that's the very reason most of the actors are choosing commercial movie
Stop saying Indian cinema fans .just say hindi cinema fans because many south Indian quality films came in 2023 from Tamil, Telugu,kannada and Malayalam and they were all hit and superhit

Thing is siddharth anand do experiments with his movies war mai action grounded or story pe focus tha while pathan over the top action and stardom pe focus tha fighter mai aerial fights and team bonding pe focus tha rather than action but pathan war mai villaij dumdaar tha aur villain ke naam pe movies sell ho rahi thi while fighter mai ek dumdaar villain ki kami thi vidyut can be a perfect villain for thia movie

yeah i can agree with you at some points which are truly correct, but i think acc to me Deepika played a strong character jo vo aur achhe se portray kar sakte the, although deeps did her best and she nailed her character. Hrithik has always been the best one when it comes to conveying the right emotion at right time, truly, and yeah jo uske vfx and all the, bhay indian cinema ke hisaab se it was truly amazing and it was portrayed well. kuchh dialogues thode se fit nhi hore the but some of them were good, it could have been better, also deepika jo character play karri hai vo uspe bohot suit hota hai and like doosri koi actress itna achhe se nhi kar paati use portray is what i feel since she has a strong character and personality which match with minni a lot.... overall very good movie and enjoyed it!!

Watched this today in 4dx 3d and I must say, it was worth it. The aerial action sequences were absolutely terrific especially that "apni kursi ki peti khol dijiye sir" one. Don't know why that character of Zarina (double agent) was added. Rishabh Sawhney's performance was also top-notch though he could've been utilised more efficiently. Sad to say but the humor was pathetic. A decent watch for a patriotic day. Sid anand has elevated the hopes for tiger vs pathaan after this one. 🇮🇳🔥

I had started seeing movies in theatre from pathan and after that no other movie had that craze even jawan and all. I feel pathan actually had the best entry scenes. On the other hand people had that idea of hritik which he had in war so that was a problem.

According to me; Hrithik and Deepika makes absolutely good chemistry and i personally didn't fine any cringe dialogue. Because no Indian can forget the pulwama attack so we everyone can beat terrorist with those dialogues. But I agree that villain isn't giving me vibe of negative impact. I found him paper villain. Plus personally I'm a fan of Deepika Padukone so I just love her cinema presence:)
Accept it or not but it does have shots which are same as maverick. So mostly inspired by maverick.
Disagree with the case of Deepika. As per the story, she depicts the case of perception among families in Indian society for a son/daughter. Less screen time, but come with numerous sub-plots (attraction towards Hritik (for romantic part), relationship with parents (perception towards son/daughter)

Fighter is still pretty much top gun copy pasted. Their budget was high, and they were using practical effects, literally doing those crazy stunts themselves. So if you're saying it's cuz of budget? Nahh
