Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed this game didn't take off. Whatever the reason might be for it, I really liked the idea of making your own games in a fun and simple format.
Yeah, I got a game a bit late, and I loved it, it is very interesting to create easy 3d games, using the limits, (maybe if they make a sequel one day they increase the limit) but people even made Minecraft in that game, it deserved more love

GBG is one of my favorite games. I have over 150 hours on it, and have filled up the 71 game slots twice.

I am currently making an undertale fan game with a team of 4 people, it’s pushing gbg to its limits and we’re trying to use all of gbg’s potential. We’re gonna try to release a demo this summer. It’ll have a full entire custom original soundtrack, with a working item system, working battle and encounter system and 72 enemies! It’s a very big project, very ambitious one, but we’d love to show you it when the demo has been released! Have a good day! Cheers.

GBG had so much potential. Maybe if the game was for less on launch and they actually wanted to promote it, maybe it'd do good.

There are some really impressive games on game builder garage, trust me. Just on gbgshop a lot of joke games got really popular for some reason, which makes it hard for streamers or bigger UA-camrs to find the really impressive games.
it flopped because of a lack of in game browser
It was also hard to create full-er games because it had a super low nodon limit
Also, here’s a small tip if you get soft locked in games, restarting by holding minus you can restart whilst keeping your progress.
There are a ton of really incredible games, Fish Slap Simulator, Toad Gets Sturdy, and Poopihg Simulator are just the tip of the ice burg

Originally when I bought game builder garage, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and played it for about 2 1/2 hours then put it down and never picked it back up. I feel like that’s the same with a lot of people.

For the last few years I have been creating stuff in Game Builder Garage, and it's nice to see a familiar face come back to it again. What you have seen in this video is just the tip of the iceberg that is the GBG community's efforts. I'd recommend you ask around and get familiar with the community already here so you can get an even deeper appreciation for what we have accomplished over the last 3 years. For any games I'd recommend I'd say "Ory's Apple Fetch" (G 002 4XX K3X), "Sand Baggie Boss Rush" (G 002 5X4 G2F, G 001 6KV YT5, G 001 8JF GTY, G 001 BH2 1VF, G 001 DFL JVM, G 001 GD7 3W5, G 001 JBT LWY, G 000 RX9 PL5, G 000 VVX 8LC) and "Super Mario Thunder Thrill" (Check out the GBGshop page) are prime examples of the engine being pushed to the limit.
You can see at 22:25 he has Super Mario Thunder Thrill up there, and not sure why he didn't play it in the video? Perhaps a second video may happen? I'm not sure...
I keep forgetting this game existed. Bought it cheap, tried it out for good whike, then gave it to a kid/teen I knew for him to try it out

I spent 525 hours on this game but i spent 4,000 hours on Mario Maker so I think I need a new life

I remember it taking way too much time to create subpar experiences.
That being said I did try. Here are 2 of my experiments:
- Jumpy Beginnings G 000 G4H F5F
A platormer with 3 sections and an end boss. Controlling the generic character can be a bit frustrating imho. Wall jumps can break the level.
-Fruit Machine G 008 BF8 2C3
A gambling device. Don’t rapidly press buttons because it can break the game. A more chill experience where you play for points. Start out with 20 and win by combining 3 symbols, or get cherries 🍒

My brother used to work at Disney World in Orlando, FL in custodial. He cleaned the park, collected trash, and cleaned public restrooms. Oh, did he see things that no one should have ever had to see in the restrooms. Some times they had to put on hazmat's suits to clean the restrooms due to the mess.
