I was so sad when the RENT line turned to lottery. Sleeping on the street for-sometimes-a few days was so much fun! I made so many friends there, many of whom are still friends today. I actually even slept out with a group of London Rentheads for Adam and Jesse L.’s last show. It wasn’t necessary, but the UK fans wanted the “New York” experience. I’ve actually camped out in three different countries and nine different cities for RENT. Some of the best times of my life.
As someone who sees alot of shows via rush(day of)/standing room or lottery here on broadway I would love for you to do a full video discussing what it's like to do those things on the west end. I know policies will differ from show to show in any given theatre but just curious how common it is, if there are any good resources you could recommend to look up policy's, and just what the general experience and expectations are on the west end.
This is a very fun twist on the lotto/rush & adds a bit of excitement to things. The last in person lotto I did was for Wicked years ago because almost everything now (even more so for tours) is digital.
Wish I could do the day ticketing thing, but I live so far away that I kinda need to be sure I'm going to get tickets if I'm coming in to London. All of which meant that I paid the full damn price for Streetcar tickets. (OK, they were restricted view, but still *damn* they were pricey.) Totally worth it though, incredible production.
Fellow math researcher here and the odds are deceptively good... If the winning odds for 1 person is 1/3, then the odds of either or both of you win is 1-(2/3)^2=5/9. If you do it twice then that's up to 80%!
I like the idea of this, it seems more fun way and more shows should do something like this. Lucky Aeron and yes you should have given out the cupcakes to the people in the queue (who wouldn't turn down a cupcake). Would be great if you do more videos about getting day tickets.
I don't really get expecting people to pay to stand for shows that will be a long time for people to remain in the same spot on their feet. Also assuming you would be right at the back so the view might not be that good.
You only have until 6th left to see the show in London as a head’s up! 💚

Cupcakes given AFTER draw to FOH house to enjoy
Also - this is fun and exciting way to buy rush tix :)
I loved the preview you gave of this video in your Broadway theatres video
Ha! Well remembered! 😅

Yay! Well done Aeron! 🍀 I wish I’d been able to see this production - it sounds like it was fantastic! X

At 2:32 I legit thought a choose day was another fun theatre thing I didn't know about.
My Dorset accent slipping through I think 😅 choose day sounds fun though!

Also I thought I was in a tiny Venn intersection of theater and math, but I stand corrected!
I really wish this would be running by the time I come to London. Oh well. Maybe it will transfer to Broadway?
Street car ooh I just finished an essay about Tennessee Williams
Aeron is your lucky charm to score tickets like that. As for me I’m sorry the play is closing before I get to London. Stay well👍🙏😎

Loved this so much! Will you do a show review?? ❤

Man joins queue
Aeron is one lucky bastard. But I am curious what you're doing at the National 👀
Wow 🤩
I have a ticket for Saturday but I also want to see the glow stick moment 🥹
