2020 is a Golden Mess, and we couldn’t have survived without numbing ourselves with something euphoric, exciting, and addictive. A real bummer is when it comes to an end and we’re brought back to reality.
This mashup is an experience from Hallucination to Exhilaration to Frustration, and after that, hopefully, we all get the Realization that - Life’s a Mess, but nonetheless, life is good and life will go on like this again. All we could do at this moment is to get back to the root of our selves, to spend more time with our family and the people we love, and maybe at the end of the day, we all get to know the reason to keep going on. Life is a mess, but that’s okay.

edit: just finished. well first of all...my kpop multistan heart has been majorly blessed. that’s aside the point...this made me have a huge realization of the impact this year has had on everyone (and everything) i legit started crying while just thinking “damn this year has been a lot”. i’m legit lose for words just remember all the stuff that happened. it started out so normal and went to shit before our eyes. i hope 2021 will be better it most likely won’t but it’s best to still have some type of hope. this was definitely worth the wait.

Songs like Dont Start Now, Blinding Lights, Everything I Wanted, Watermelon Sugar, etc. were released late last year and we can’t predict how big they’ll be. So, we try to use them in the year they come out in case they’re not popular in the following year so there’s not as much pressure to use them when there are other options. And if the song ends up being popular (like the examples given), then they get used in both years 😊

It'll sound weird, but listening to these mashups, it gives me more hope. Like, last year sucked. A LOT. But this somehow makes me think that things could be so much worse, or weren't as bad as we thought, and that things will change for the better.

Life Goes On being at the end fits so well. Their “BE” album really makes me feel some type of way.
In a few years if we ever still exist and the pandemic is over, Life Goes On would be that song that would make me cry. We all felt so much pain throughout 2020, but we pulled through because life goes on.
