- We took a pre-cruise stay here at Forest Holidays Delamere Forest. We tour inside the Golden Oak Two Bedroom Cabin. It’s a beautiful location and is perfect for a relaxing break with nearby trails for walking, running and cycling. We tour the cabin and review our stay. We explore the onsite Forest Retreat, it’s the heart of the park and includes a great shop, restaurant and bar. You can buy supplies for the log burner here and any other things you might need. Alternatively there is a nearby Morrisons Supermarket.

Hi David, Just caught this video having seen all your cruise videos. This is my part of the world. If you do return then may I recommend the Chinese restaurant near by - The Fortune Palace. It's our favourite. The local pub is the Carriers Inn (after a few you need to Carriers Out haha) and the next stop on the train heading towards Chester is Mouldsworth where there is a really nice pub called the Goshawk. Naturally you are on the Mid-Cheshire line and it is so easy to hop on the train to Chester, Manchester or one of the posh Cheshire towns of Knutsford (great restaurants).
