Marbella to Palma Mallorca by Yacht ( bad weather )

- We left Puerto Banus, Marbella for Palma Mallorca. The weather looked fine on the predictions but needed up not being so fantastic. Had to stop at some place called Almerimar. Let the weather calm down and then continue... Bad weather and Yachts is never a good combination.

Hello Jared! Thanks a lot for your vids. Great job: Enjoy everytime since i subscribed. Just a note: I suggest you visit almeria next time, we have nice sunny villages, beaches, natural parks, desert with gold sand, of course, outside Almerimar and agriculture area. One hour to the east you ll be welcome in these places. Also, Aguadulce could be an alternative and nicer port to stop next time, inside the bay! I wish you best winds and sea, for you and yours!

Hey Jared, quick one. How long did it take you to become a deck officer and did you start as a deck hand
Always start as a deckhand. Im not an officer as i do not hold officer tickets. i am mate on board as i help navigate the vessel with the captain but am also in charge of all deck duties and maintenance. So depending on how you see it, im a deckhand with mate duties or a mate with deck duties

Hi Jared, I have a question for you, but first, I want to thank you for your amazing movies! so the question is: why does "I" roll so much? hasn't she stabilizer fins? Is she a safety boat? thank you so much.
Hi Francesco. I am sorry to respond so late. The yacht has stabilisers and they do helo a lot but "I" is still only a 34 meter boat and it doesnt take much to make it roll. If the waves are coming from behind us, it can cause the boat to roll and ANY boat will do so depending on size of swell and swell angle.
Also, the footage from my camera doesn't often portray what the sea is really like. Its always bigger than what the camera shows.

I couldn’t helpbut notice you picking up a very nice pair of Steiner binoculars on the bridge.Are those yours,or the boat’s?I was on a freighter once in the Caribbean,and found a pair of Zeiss 7x50 marine binoculars. on the bridgeLooking through them,you could almost believe they were worth,the~$2000.price tag.i really appreciated the captain letting me use thembut I had offered my Fujinon Polaris 7x50s to the bridge crew,so perhaps he figured,I could be trusted with them.I was very careful with them.Thanks for the video
Haha very very well noticed. Yes that’s the captains pair that he bought ages ago. So so so important to have a good pair on. The stabilized versions would have been better but that so expensive!
