this is probably the most innovative and creative 2a routines since grant johnson's 2010 nationals
He perfected this routine this time... absolutely amazing
There's only one other who builds up this much hype in a performance, it gives him quite an "edge"
I was there in person for this and I revisit this video every so often for inspiration and to reminisce. I remember watching him practicing at 7am the day before, jet lagged and manic.If memory serves he slept right there in the grand ballroom at the rozsen plaza. This freestyle still holds up to this day. We'll be rooting for Akira Kato to take the gold in 2025!!

I used to think 2A was the least interesting style of yoyoing. I can now confirm that this is the coolest freestyle I have ever seen.
I find 3a to be really boring to watch.
High level 2a and 5a are the most enjoyable personally.
