I did the fix and the phone turns on just fine and works perfectly for the first 35 seconds or so, then an "invalid battery" popup appears and then the phone shuts off. Anyone know why or how to fix it?

I just tried it and it worked. The video does not show the need to separate the middle battery contact from the circuit board (I used a knife). In the zoomed-in section of the video (@5:26) you can see the wire passes around a large grey rectangle on the circuit board... this is the place where you have to separate the circuit board from the battery contact. I say "large" but these images are greatly magnified and so you do need a very small wire and a very small soldering iron tip and people my age may need a magnifying glass :-). I suspect that this wire bypasses current limiting circuitry inside the battery with the end result that the battery is more likely to overheat. So I am not sure how long I will run the phone in this state.. but it does give me the opportunity to off-load my data onto another phone.

My battery worked fine about 6 month, but now it tries to restart everytime my phone has a bit loaded. I said "tries to restart" because it can really restart and goes in loop. Is that what you had too? Or my problem is different and this video won't help?
Risineo what is the worst thing if i do this to my battery ? some technician said that this lg g3 phone is short.. it consumes more than 3.7 volt, that's why it keeps retarting itself
Kuro Neko-chi Yes, there is likely some defect like a short circuit in the phone that makes it consume more power. More power means more amp draw from the battery which this element you bridge/skip limits.Your battery might degrade quicker and the phone might get a little warmer. But I don't think it will/can damage the phone itself.
hmm~ now i seee in some cases(different manufacturer), the phone might just gets hot and hotter.. ah and also the battery drains quickly, even tho we just changed the battery.. it's just this LG phone keeps restarting itself
Kuro Neko-chi Yeah, it's not the battery that is at fault but the phone. So simply replacing the battery with a new/other one will not change anything. It is likely some module or solder connection on the motherboard of the phone that is defective and causing this problem.
