  • This is simply a video showing how i personally make my sons bottle, im sure there are better ways, better bottles, better food but this is what works for US. After i gave birth i breast fed my son but wasnt producing enough milk. I had to give my son formula after the breastmilk because my milk wasnt enough for him. He had no problem transitioning from a real nipple to a bottle nipple so i dont have any tips on that, sorry. I was pumping as much milk as i could too but it wasnt enough either. Im a single mother & had no one helping me so my body was beyond exhausted. I woke up every two hours or less to feed my son so i was sleep deprived and i was too tired to eat so i would force myself to eat something small and quick once a day around 6pm when i would remember to eat. My breastmilk dried up after 2 weeks and i tried different formulas , regular , soy , different brands etc until i seen improvement as far as my son spitting up and his bowel movements. My friends and family would continue to recommend giving him rice or oatmeal in his bottle and i said “yea eventually” until iiiii was personally ready to. I had a weird fear of my sons booty cloggin up wit oatmeal or him choking on it lol .. but as you see in the video its very small flakes and dissolves instantly and only gets as thick as you make it to be. I started him on the oatmeal and babyfood at 5 months and i wish i wouldve done it much sooner but im very glad i waited until i was personay ready instead of just doing what people say. He went from
Sleeping 3 hours to 7 hours and currently sleeps 10 hours STRAIGHT. My son had constipation problems before he even had oatmeal which is why i was so hesitant too. His doctor recommended an ounce of water and it helped right away, i also tried veryyyy little Prune babyfood in his formula and it helped veryyyy quickly too. Again, this is just MY way of feeding my son which has been working amazingly for us thank God. Dont be afraid to switch it up and use different brands than me, different portions than me, different add ins than me, different everything than me. I’ve made mistakes before and im still learning a lot as i go and have sooo much more to learn as a mother but its all a part of life and its what makes every mother and child unique and special. Im a firm believer that NO ONE knows everything & a mothers instinct is a blessing so USE IT & embrace it. Dont be ashamed to be “scared” dont be pressured to do ANYTHING youre not comfortable with as a mother, your child is YOUR responsibility, trust yourself & enjoy the blessing of parenthood.
