Great diagnosis Sandy , scary moments when undoing the injector bolts on these , you cant beat the old ball bearing trick , but as you say scoping it would be nice to see , but fuel is so expensive, blanked off , saves fuel 😉🤣🤣👍👍
Good job. Ballbearings and leak-off are the best ways to go. That scope setup will never work in this situation. Ecu needs engine rpm to build desired fuel pressure to command injectors on. So the pressure is all over the place and there so there will no be an injector command or will here and there unclear.... Good find Cheers!
I have the same issue on Q5 fuel rail system too low , but i am not sure how do you diagnosis each injector is it possible to write it down the ball bearing trick procedure , my car can start up and drive normal only when i push the gas harder the error code came out
Hi Sandy, you mentioned the ball bearing trick in this video in order to diagnose which of the injectors is faulty. Would you be able to explain that in some more detail please for someone who’s not as mechanically inclined? Thanks in advance and awesome vids!
1:56 SWORD might be 'Short Word' meaning a 2 byte integer capable of representing a value from 0 to 65535. I also saw UBYTE on that screen which probably means 'Unsigned Byte' which could represent a value from 0 to 255.
Fantastic trick, thanks for sharing! Worked for me and saved me a lot of hassle and worry thinking it was the high pressure pump!
Thank you, the ball bearing trick worked for me. I was able to identify the faulty injector straight off the bat.
Good investigating Sandy, well done man 👏👏👍

Haha how true save the fossil fuel😃
That's a good idea for testing with a scope. Cheers mate 👍

Cheers my friend
What's the process to find the faulty injector for a novice like me😊
interesting basicly same engine on Audi has 6Nm +90 Degrees on the stretch bolts
Sandy great helpful video got similar on Audi Q7 what size ball bearing did you use pls?
Just from a bicycle
@@sandyande thanks I'll give it a go👍🏼
Hello and thanks for sharing my friend that’s a good job for to identify single injector.
How many injectors have you changed
Two so far
How do we know if the problem is the regulator or not?
an injector going down will shut whole Bank off and not start blank off injector 1 by 1

Did you figure it out. I am having same issue. Only when pressing on accelator when driving that it is doing that
Hi, do you figure it out?
What is the fuel normal pressure at idle ? I got a6 c7 3.0 tdi is a similar engine and show me 25 000 at idle ...
