Hey can you also make a video on how did you practice with them! Your technique? I got all of them as you said! Thanks
Hi! Is difficult bench rest at SIU? What are the assignments?
It could have changed since I took the test. It was class 4 and 2 restorations and ceramic crown prep.
Thank you for your videos, can you please make clear electric motor part, from where did you get the pedal? Which model exactly are you talking about? Because I can’t find any electric ones that don’t need a compressor…
If you plan to treat patients, you need a compressor for air that comes from handpiece. For bench test purposes I didn’t use any compressor, since I was able just to brush off the dust from plastic teeth. The model that shown has no attachment for foot pedal, only manual. That’s the cheapest and only good for practice for bench. Also, if you want air/water, you need to buy compressor as well.
Hello! Thank you for your advices! I just have a tiny yet important question 😅
What do I have to plug in the water/air connector? I plugged all the thing that are included in the packaging of the micromotor, dunno how to make it work
PS : I have the same model as yours
Thank you in advance! ❤️🦷
Beautiful video! Awesome job! Your video re very informative and supportive! Thanks a lot! And wish you the best of luck!
Thank you!
So the one with compressor turbine unit is not mandatory for bench test prep? Could you please advice me which I should prefer for home installation for bench prep? Is the electric one the one that the school is asking noawadys? Any recommendations for the cheapest and good models
You choose what works best for you. I personally prefer electric but at the end of the game it doesn’t matter too much. I didn’t want to buy compressor and keep it at home; heard good reviews about 1 gal California for home use.
I have a question. This micro motor and hand piece you suggested do not use foot pedal. Do they mandatory use foot pedal in bench tests? If so where to find foot pedal to go with this micro motor ?
Thanks for help.
This version doesn’t have a slot to connect a foot pedal. It’s the cheapest. Of course during the actual bench test, one has to use a foot pedal since it simulates actual clinical settings.
I bought it. It’s amazing but it gets really hot on my hand while I am working. Any advise ?
There is not much you can do about it. Just take some breaks. It’s a cheap piece of equipment, I wouldn’t expect much from it.
Hi I can't find the links you used to buy the equipment! Thanks for the video
Well, the links are 2 years old. You might need to search for new ones.

You need to buy separate equipment for that. In order to have water/air you need a compressor to pump the pressure.
Noted! Thanks a 5❤️
Thank you for a very informative and useful video! Can you do the bench test without loops?
Of course you can. I actually struggled with my loupes during bench and ended up having them off.
Hi. It's really helpful video.
Do we really don't need compressor?
There are pros and cons for both compressor and electric motor. This particular motor is cheap, you can’t attach foot pedal to it, but the main thing - it does the job. If you want to invest more, there are other electric motor options on the market. I personally think it’s enough for the bench test prep. Obviously you won’t have air, I used wet cloth to wipe the prep from dust. I prefer electric handpiece over air driven because one can control the speed. Anyway, overall I think it’s a great option for bench test prep. Thank you for your question.
Thank you! Very helpful! 😊
You are so welcome! Makes me very happy that you liked it!
Does Acadental typo fit in with Kilgore loose teeth samples?
I have no idea.
Hi, what handpiece should I buy with the micromotor
I got 1:5 contra angle with light.
Thank you, it was super helpful. I'll start buying stuff through the links you shared and I'd appreciate if you could please reply to my questions once I start practicing. Is there a reference or a guide you can recommend to use for crown preparation and amalgam and composite restorations? I have not done those things here in US so have absolutely not sure
It’s all about correct dimensions and shapes. You can message me through Instagram and I can send you some info.
Sure I will send you a message through my wife's account as I don't have instagram. Really appreciate for your quick response 😊
Hi! I tried to buy the electric handpiece from your link but the seller told me I need a dent chair to use it. Do you have a specific model you used?
Not sure what you mean by “dent chair”. I didn’t use one for sure. The link is old, maybe something has changed.
I had the same response from the seller. What did you ended up buying?
@@danielaroma1000 I bought that one, it worked fine just had to take breaks often due to overheating
Do I need to buy any adapter separately?
It has American type plug to fit American power socket. It comes with all needed cords for manual use. However, there is no foot pedal, it can be bought separately. Also, there is no air/water. I used a toothbrush and a wet cloth to clean the dust from preps. Hope this helps and thank you for your question.
@@WisteriaDentistry thank you for your reply. Also can you provide a link for the foot Pedal.
I don’t think this particular model can be used with a foot pedal. I looked at the back of the motor and there is no socket for the foot pedal attachment. I used it manually. You should probably check other models then.
