Having Gwen and Duncan together on paper isn’t bad since Duncan’s relationship with Courtney was pretty toxic but the execution wasn’t it. I really enjoyed the song in London one of my favorites of the season.
Tbh Duncan and Courtney went bad in the last season imo, hooking up him and Gwen wasn’t the worst idea in the world… until they executed it in the worst way possible
They made Duncan a cheater and Gwen a terrible friend for drama

One of my favorite parts of this show is how they don't hide their bias, they straight up tell you they like certain characters more cuz they're popular so they're gonna keep them in longer. And transparency like that especially when it's a parody of these types of survival shows is just pretty cool honestly.

Ahh yup. We made it. Was 14 just about to start my Freshman Year when these episodes aired back in August of 2010. I'll say this for anyone reading, you can't replicate or imagine what it was like... when this moment happened. The amount of "Hate Battles" that was happening online between (Duncan/Courtney) (Duncan/Gwen) fans. It exploded during this tme. The drama is certainly getting higher throughout the rest of the season.
Cartoon Network really effed up Gwen's character sadly. They made her whole character about her being in relationships when we know she's much more capable on her own and all. Also y'all blame Gwen even though she tried to resist Duncan but Duncan was the one who caused this whole mess, not Gwen
you give gwen too much credit they been building this up since season 1😂
I would have it where Duncan and Courtney broke up in the special before the action can still have the ship but not the toxic part of this dumb triangle.

This whole thing could have been avoided if Duncan had just told Courtney he was done with her, Gwen console him, and then they get together instead. The way it happened turned Gwuncan into probably the most hated ship and made Gwen more disliked, but at the same time made Courtney more supported by the fanbase.

It's actually funny that so many Duncan x Courtney fans will never accept that Duncan and Gwen were a better option for each other. My biggest hottake is that Gwuncan was actually better than Duncney. Courtney and Duncan was just MESSY in the last season (not to mention Courtney being the most terrible toxic girlfriend to ever have). Gwen and Duncan had good chemistry and a good friendship. Seeing them hook up isn't honestly the worst thing ever in the show
