Parents need to understand ghosting your child for nonsense reasons makes you look bad, not the child.
There will never be a good enough reason to justify you ghosting your child. They’ll forgive but won’t forget.

Why should he tolerate disrespect? She was rude to him the whole show and because he was fussing at her she called her mother and bashed him. His feelings were probably hurt as well. Would you allow your children to disrespect you ?

So just because she had an attitude justifies her being blocked by her own father for several months? That’s teenager behavior.
He’s her father at the end of the day, most parents get attitudes from their kids all the time and still remain present in their lives.
They could’ve talked and moved on if her
father didn’t block her and act petty.

@@longbranch11207 She wasn't rude. She didn't once raise her voice. She simply said that she can't communicate with him honestly and openly in other settings because he loses his cool fast. Is it far-fetched that a person who wants to keep the peace would be too intimidated to open up and express their honest thoughts to a quick-tempered, verbally abusive elder/authority figure? Sadly, in our culture, we think that any view a child expresses that isn't in lockstep with the parents' view is "disrespect", even if said view is articulated calmly and tactfully. Such thinking shuts kids down from opening up and sharing their thoughts with their parents, which results in parent and child being virtual strangers to one another. So what if she called her mother and expressed her honest thoughts about him? She opened up to the parent who she obviously feels more comfortable communicating with, so the intelligent reaction to KNOWING that is to figure out how to foster a relationship with the daughter that makes her comfortable opening up and communicating her honest feelings with her dad just as she does with her mom. The answer isn't to immaturely ghost a child for almost a year. By doing that, he proved to be less mature than she is when the opposite should be true. Also, be careful what you condone as a parent: The very child you're okay with treating like they don't exist may the very person whom you one day need if you're blessed to see old age.

I actually understand the dad's point. The mother and father are not together, and he has started a new relationship. Former exes can be vindictive. Keeping his personal life private from his ex is a very smart move. And, as a 21 year old grown woman, she should learn how to communicate with her father or seek therapy to help.

I understand what the daughter is saying...she's not saying that it's wrong for her dad to look at other women, what she's saying is that when he's with her (father-daughter time) and he's checking out other women, it may come across as disrespectful or "creep-like". That's why she followed her statement by asking, "would you want me to date a guy like you?" There is a time and place for everything, and "body-checking" a female in front of your daughter at any age is slightly weird, depending on how he's doing it can also cause her to look at him as a creeper.

      @tincredible 10 місяців тому +25

Right. People in the comments are comparing her to a jealous girlfriend, but this is deeper than that. His ignoring her to gawk at women pours salt in a deeper wound. This is about a young lady who's gone a lifetime feeling that she's never been important enough to her father to have father's undivided attention, and his blocking and ignoring her for seven months pretty much validate that point. I suspect that if he's always been emotionally supportive and attentive parent, his glancing (but not exactly staring) at attractive women in public wouldn't have bothered her to that degree.
Some perv-minded person in the comments even implied that she has an incecestuous attraction to her dad. The fact that someone's mind would dive into the gutter when discussing this suggests that they probably grew up in environments where elders did and said all kinds of inappropriate stuff in front of kids. So, they think nothing of it.

I don't think dad is a villian but definitely is stubborn and hard to get through when the defenses are up. Espeically when he's hurt. This reminds me so much of my father and mother. The older I got and started becoming an adult the more we bumped heads. It was bad I didn't speak to him for months. He's passed away and being the big adult that I am, I'm learning that communication is very hard for people set in their ways. Especially if they're prideful. As this young lady is growing, her perspective may expand and she'll begin to understand both of her parents and break bad patterns that cause dysfunction. I wish the best for them.

What happen is his raised a daughter who is just as tough as him and she’s knows herself and he’s receiving what he taught her.

Our son has stopped caring to go see him & I honestly DONT want him to go there anyway bc he calls me the entire time bc he's bored, lonely & hurt😢 but he misses his little brother..😢 its the most heartbreaking thing as a mother to watch your child be so hurt by his own father & family😢 this was SO weird to watch bc this is exactly how it is for my son, & how its gonna be for them forever if nothing changes. 😢 I don't understand ppl like this smh..

Firstly I'll say that the father wasn't right 4how he actD but now lemme point out that the daughter's tears N talks of what she wantD N the beginning was fake and u can tell by how she actD when he came out it was almost the complete opposite she tried 2 act like a tiny hurt lil girl who just wantD 2B back N her father's life but then once he came out there were no more tears and it was attack attack attack. Sure the father was on bull but the host clearly was holdN him accountable the fact that she constantly interrupted him and would laugh @ his comments showed the opposite of what she claimed she wantD...I understand that he's the parent and she's the child so it's more on him 2 step up however with that dynamic should come a certain level of respect I hate how the host is so one sided he should've corrected her and let her know that although that's ur father and he is grown and should B better he also has feelNz and if u want him 2 grow u will need 2 help by growing as well cause @the end of the day ur no longer a kid ur N adult and as crazy as it sounds he really doesn't have 2B that 4you

Love is a two way street and these kids are so disrespectful nowadays. The way the daughter treated him was so much me and I. If you disrespect me we are done children or not. She wouldn't even look at him sincerely.

The gag is I was upholding our relationship up until that fight. I love him but he has hurt me beyond what was said on this show but I still wanted him in my life. I learned he’s human too, but I just gotta love from a distance

I never wanted this much attention from neither of my parents. As long as the rent was paid and the lights were on I was good.

I feel like they want to emasculate this man, and make him soft…
He’s a good father, and he is not willing to allow her to control & run him!
Yes, he needed to unblock her and to communicate, but she needs to be thankful for an active and available dad!
And if he’s so bad, why does him and the mother still have such a great relationship!

Anyone defending the dad flirting and ogling at women in front of his child is disgusting. It doesn’t matter how old your child is. That is a line that should not be crossed. That’s nasty. Fathers and Mothers should not be doing that in front of their child. I would feel so uncomfortable if my Father was to ever do that. 🤢
The fact that the daughter has to walk on eggshells because her father has a temper is insane 😵‍💫. She can’t even talk to him about her emotions which is extremely worrying. What if she was suicidal? Battling depression? In a domestic violence situation? She should be able to talk to you about anything and ask for your advice.
She said she messaged him and called him constantly and got no answer. Told her mom to reach out to him and Found out he blocked her. On her birthday she called and messaged but received no answer. Yet some people in these comments are defending him😵‍💫. How do you 7 months without contacting your child?????
I thank God for my parents. I cant believe people are going through this 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Of Course It Would Be The Women In The Audience Booing The Dad. A Relationship Goes Two Ways. The Daughter Needs To Express How She Feels at All Times, esp. Now Since She's an Adult of Legal Age. Going To Someone Else Like The Mother Is Not Gonna Help The Situation. 💯
