Malanda, Millaa Millaa, Yungaburra Curtain Fig, Mt Uncle - EP 103 Caravanning Australia

- This video sums up the end of 2023, the day we enjoyed sightseeing in the Atherton Tablelands - although not many dog-friendly spots were reachable after the last torrential rain event (TC Jasper). At least Mt Uncle Distillery is welcome dogs and had the cellar doors open for a Whiskey tasting.
Later that day we lost our drone and someone hit our car. We have talked about that in our previous episode, in case you want to know more.
Thanks for joining in and watching this episode. Not long now until we will finally head off, leaving the area after almost 9 months. It's about time!

AS (Ann & Simon) Nomads living the dream, travelling Australia.
Thanks for tuning in and following us. This channel is our connection to family and friends here in Australia and most importantly in Germany and other parts of the world, whereever they live. Since travelling internationally has been so hard and over a period of time even impossible we decided use our channel to invite you all to follow us virtually.
Please don't be offended when we here and then switch languages. Our mother language is German and we would like to help our German (non English speaking) family, friends and followers to be part of our journey and new chapter in our life. So if we switch to German we will try to add undertitles in English so you know what we talk about. And vise versa - talking in English we will add German undertitle. Thank you for your understanding, your support and your feedback. xxx Ann & Simon
Viel Vergnügen hier und viele Grüße aus Down Under
Ann & Simon
Lovely video once again. "Dogs Not Allowed" Ann it is understandable that somebody in your position is bewildered and offended...but try to view the situation with Pragmatism. Dogs themselves are not the issue, dogs will do what dogs do and not know any different. The problem is the owners of the dogs and how so many of them are disrespectful. Like so many things in modern society...one sector spoiling it for others who have a conscience and do the right thing. Blessings to you.
We absolutely agree with you. In saying that we are used to a much more dog-friendly society and it works well, if all are responsible enough. We are used to dogs allowed in National Parks - on leash! - in Germany. However you are not allowed to go offroad with your car over there, you have to stick to the sealed roads. And it totally makes sense. Motorised vehicles do much more damage to the landscape, and disturbing the wildlife with noise etc. Dogs on leash can be controlled and do much less harm (and they are usually healthy if the owners are responsible enough to treat them well with required treatments).
We have seen so much rubbish everywhere left behind by travellers and families (nappies, bottles, cans, kids plastic toys and worse, especially in crowded areas), which in our eyes is much more harmful to nature. What can you do?
This is a topic you can spend ages on talking about.
@@asnomads One can spend ages on this topic...but best I don't. I'm just glad I'm 66 and not 26!!!
Let's enjoy life as much as we can, hey? That's the main reason for us travelling this beautiful country. :D
