Since the question keeps popping up, even after this many years, here's an explanation as to why he's clicking this much during the start of the game: the theory behind it is that you keep your APM consistently high, even when not necessary. This way you don't have to "spike" your APM during intense phases of the game. It's in theory more beneficial to maintain a high average APM to ensure that you have the speed available to you when you need it and to train your muscle memory.
Another main reason is that if you don´t have high APM all the time, it will lower your APM in the game overall obv. And a lot of players, across gaming, take APM as part of the skill, no matter how unncessary the klicks are. And fact is also that the very best players can go from zero to max in short intervals without any problem. So keeping your fingers warm is only required if you cannot go from zero to max.
most of the clicks even have a purpose, the purpose to check what status the production looks like, is it already done? is something in production? is the building done? at the beginning its just warmup
There is a super old famous starcraft player who was playing since the first game and he had such bad carpal tunnel he said every time he clicked his mouse button paon would shoot through hos wrist all the way up to his elbow

+HazanasTrueLove Probably some sort of shit talk. The LoL community is semi toxic and will never be as toxic as the original DotA 1 version 6.4+ community. In terms of this comment thread doesn't matter what some LoL player said, he may understand matchups, builds well and have a solid team, but getting as good as any of these Starcraft players is all about experimentation and pushing yourself to the limit via challenges. The pompousness of "I'm the best and you can't beat me" Isn't what makes the best the best. It's never backing down from any challenge so that they keep getting better regardless. An open mind in gaming is what creates the next best thing. So when someone is experimenting, don't hate on them, it means they're probably coming from a far better or more complex game than League of Legends.
in rts games, not only the planning/strategy you adopt matters, but also the exectuion. being able to do more things faster than your opponent gives you the edge. pro gamers tend to have at least 300-400 actions per minute. this means you have to be quite fast in what you do. ofcourse not all that actions matter, some are redundant but it helps keeping them focused and building muscle memory (just like a guitar/piano player that practices scales so that he can use them effortlessly in a solo).
I initially asked myself the same question. At first it looked like he was simply giving the same command over and over. I figured that the game had an internal pause after harvesting, and he was simply re-issuing the order in a rhythm that allowed a tiny bit more efficiency. As I watched though, it became clear that about 85% of that clicking was just filler. There were some moments where he really did need to issue orders that fast, but the rest was him keeping his internal tempo steady.
@FILT it's incredibly fun, but multiplayer is filled with stress if you're not good enough to keep up with other players. You will be overwhelmed very quickly. What he is doing is keeping his hands nimble. Muscle memory in this game is key to success.
@FILT The singleplayer is amazing. I highly recommend getting all the trilogy packs. The multiplayer however SUCKS. Well it depends on the player. If you're the type that enjoys something like what you see on the screen, then you'll love it. If you're the type that enjoys building 1 type of unit x100 then just sit back and watch destruction, you'll hate it lol. Also if you live in Asia and you're playing on korea server then gl. @FILT its both fun and ridiculously stressful, also the learning curve to compete in multiplayer is ridiculously high, competition is the most unforgiving of any game, and you have to be able to be on the edge of your game every second, but thats what makes it the most rewarding. There's no game that gets you on the edge of your seat like starcraft when a high paced game is going on. But same time it can wear you down and thats why I havent played it consistently in 5 years, now i just play occasionally due to work and even then 1 -2 games is enough stress for me in a week.
Zerg and terrans are notoriously known for having extremely high amp, legitimately so due to intense micro of individual units and for having so many. Usually around 500- 600 apm

Definitely not that percentage, not even close. The average epm for top level players is around 300. meaning that 300 apm is all doing useful effective things, while the average apm for top level players is 400 apm... so more like 75% clicks that matter. A large amount are either creating units, so you cant see him making changes but they are doing things. He is also recreating macros (sets of units he can press one button to command the whole group) constantly so this is a large amount of keypresses. He recreates these macros every time he gets a new unit, which you can see at around 1:10 he does every time a new drone (the ones around the base)
Title should be “fast clicker gets owned by Muta-Ling-Bane.” I love how they cut the video right before the last Zerg push so they don’t show him losing. Still better than I am though.
Not only fast clicker... That s a lie to say he is not fast... Come on u can notice a player is fast by the speed he build his gaz vespen only took him one second... He don't miss a damn click and clicking so much give him more accuracy actually the more u click the more u sure to get the right click when the first one is not accurate or when u on move command but enemies unit near and some of your unit are moving if UR not on old position... By the way he was playing on Koren ladder for sure... So the zerg is fast as well... Finally being a good player does not mean UR not gonna lose game if u don't get the right strategy.... U still have to scoot and to adapt... Protoss play slow game but unit strong and win.... In my opinion this dude is fast he should maybe change his hotkey because some were really far from main typing area... And you can see he used a lot of group control.... No honestly very good player....
Just noticed this dude using his own keyboard and placed the internet cafe's keyboard on top of the system unit so as to not wear out their keyboard. Seeing as how this dude is clicking so much, that 50 million click lifespan of the cafe's keyboard is gonna be absolutely demolished.
+HOCOK B CMETAHE Was thinking the exact same thing. Especially during the start of the match. Constantly marking SCV's and just spam pressing commands, that doesn't rly do anything...
+HOCOK B CMETAHE Nope in the early game 98% was worthless, but as the game progresses onward, efficiency of his APM(action per minute) increases as he no longer is spamming, but giving specific commands to certain units and structures to perform certain action and more or less during the late game most of your APM can be almost directly translated to EPM(efficient action per minute)
After playing this game and having a low apm playing by myself it is amazing to witness the god speed of other players. Truly instructive and inspirational. Thank you.

Holy shit!!! The guy looks like he is having a hand tremor!. Interesting perspective looking from this side of the monitor observing a professional gamer.
The reason they click so much is to warm up for the game. You’ll never know if the game will be dragging long or quick, either way it’s always the best to warm up and be prepared for any unpredictable long game.
Dude sitting next to him in beginning looked at him like, "Bro you aint going to do shit". Then his boy behind him tells him, "Relax bro just let him play". While messaging his shoulders 😂🤣

@@vashj212 yeah i agree. I played both pc mobas and mobile mobas and i would say that mobile mobas are simplier, and difficult at the same time. The limitations of controls and inputs that basically makes the game play for you attracts beginners to the gaming scene. The auto aim and auto target with addition to absurd range makes the feel of the game seems like auto mode. All of these are the cost of control. It is fustrating to play in where you want to dash out of danger but instead the game dashes into your doom. Or how your attacks prioritizes a low hp tank rather than a squishy full health marksman. The game run on auto mode is going to be hard if you want to play it manually because the game wants you to play in auto mode while your game senses wants it otherwise.
Not exactly, At some points in the game you will need to actually play that fast in sc2. So the idea is to play as fast early on as you might have to later on.
I think in a moderate player.. I think strategic awareness, positioning, and tactics get me through.. ending games with like 40‐70 meaningful apm. I used to wander how in actually crap someone could get 400 apm or above. Now I can see its 80% running in place.

He is also recreating macros (sets of units he can press one button to command the whole group) constantly so this is a large amount of keypresses. He recreates these macros every time he gets a new unit, which you can see at around 1:10 he does every time a new drone (the ones around the base)
It's been years and I'm still rewatching this many times
Imagine your life just saying NOT ENOUGH MINERALS.
This just made me want have a keyboard just like his.
Yea, damn it! : D
Whenever i try to start off like this guy, i always end up moving all my scvs away from mining

"Fast clicker"... you mean a person above gold? His enemy was doing the very same thing mate.
Nick holiday this guy aint even good, just having high apm does mean you have good build order or micro

Just noticed this dude using his own keyboard and placed the internet cafe's keyboard on top of the system unit so as to not wear out their keyboard. Seeing as how this dude is clicking so much, that 50 million click lifespan of the cafe's keyboard is gonna be absolutely demolished.
**Looks at person to his left** , "CRAP... he's clicking faster than me!
Well actually 90% of these clicks were useless
+HOCOK B CMETAHE Was thinking the exact same thing. Especially during the start of the match. Constantly marking SCV's and just spam pressing commands, that doesn't rly do anything...
+HOCOK B CMETAHE Nope in the early game 98% was worthless, but as the game progresses onward, efficiency of his APM(action per minute) increases as he no longer is spamming, but giving specific commands to certain units and structures to perform certain action and more or less during the late game most of your APM can be almost directly translated to EPM(efficient action per minute)
+Xilith Gaming The purpose of those useless actions is actually aimed to warm up the hand , not useless .
you do these things to keep your hands warmed up later on when it's important
actually pausing and stretching your hand is better for longevity than repeating a bunch of useless actions takes the same time too
This cable management is awesome
when you can't fast forward a part in your video so you have to record like this
This apply to every competitive game, you gotta keep your brain on edge at all times, and this is achieved by doing little tasks very fast constantly.
BS, repetitive actions like that do not make your brain more active, it's the opposite. Muscle memory jumps into action and brain stops giving a shit.
Unique ASMR video im watching after a long time.
After playing this game and having a low apm playing by myself it is amazing to witness the god speed of other players. Truly instructive and inspirational. Thank you.
Can you not see how sad this is?
@@andrewcoggins187 Lol. You are insecure man. You ignorant buffoon.
Oh yes... SC2... 2:30 minutes of insane 650 apm mineral gathering action... How I miss playing this
This is effing incredible
Now I'm starting to wonder if bots are just normal people XD
I didn't realize I had my speed at 1.5 and I was like wtf is wrong with his man
Hes liike Neo at 1.5
I almost fall asleep. Very good ASMR video
Dude this is really sick! Im sure he needs every week a new Keyboard and Mouse. For me SC2 was every time too hard to play. You just get stomed every game 😂
70% or more of his actions are just switching back and forth while effectively doing nothing.
Something AlphaStar teached us is that high APM doesn't matter.
Holy shit!!! The guy looks like he is having a hand tremor!. Interesting perspective looking from this side of the monitor observing a professional gamer.
The reason they click so much is to warm up for the game. You’ll never know if the game will be dragging long or quick, either way it’s always the best to warm up and be prepared for any unpredictable long game.
as soon as advanced technology for functioning robotic arms is made I'm sure starcraft players would gladly cut off their hands
pointless, just brain to computer interface directly
всегда было интересно увидеть эти клики:) спасибо
Dude sitting next to him in beginning looked at him like, "Bro you aint going to do shit".
Then his boy behind him tells him, "Relax bro just let him play". While messaging his shoulders 😂🤣
Show this to Mobile Legend players that are complaining that their hands and finger hurts when they play a 25 minute game. 😂
As much as I agree to that statement, it still sounds like saying to a basketball player can't complain to get tired running in a basketball court because track athletes runs a mile
@@Portrial i knew people who complain about how hard their game in ML is. They even boast and compare it when I play dota and they always say that dota is dying but idgaf . They love to boast because it's much harder in touch screen than usinv keyboard and mouse.
ML cancer players cant even do invoker
Yo there are ML kids at your country too? I'm sorry man it has much influence here in Indonesia and keeps growing, we can't cancel it.

Not exactly,
At some points in the game you will need to actually play that fast in sc2. So the idea is to play as fast early on as you might have to later on.

I think strategic awareness, positioning, and tactics get me through.. ending games with like 40‐70 meaningful apm.
