    Since the question keeps popping up, even after this many years, here's an explanation as to why he's clicking this much during the start of the game: the theory behind it is that you keep your APM consistently high, even when not necessary. This way you don't have to "spike" your APM during intense phases of the game. It's in theory more beneficial to maintain a high average APM to ensure that you have the speed available to you when you need it and to train your muscle memory.

      Another main reason is that if you don´t have high APM all the time, it will lower your APM in the game overall obv. And a lot of players, across gaming, take APM as part of the skill, no matter how unncessary the klicks are.
      And fact is also that the very best players can go from zero to max in short intervals without any problem. So keeping your fingers warm is only required if you cannot go from zero to max.

      +HazanasTrueLove Probably some sort of shit talk. The LoL community is semi toxic and will never be as toxic as the original DotA 1 version 6.4+ community. In terms of this comment thread doesn't matter what some LoL player said, he may understand matchups, builds well and have a solid team, but getting as good as any of these Starcraft players is all about experimentation and pushing yourself to the limit via challenges. The pompousness of "I'm the best and you can't beat me" Isn't what makes the best the best. It's never backing down from any challenge so that they keep getting better regardless. An open mind in gaming is what creates the next best thing. So when someone is experimenting, don't hate on them, it means they're probably coming from a far better or more complex game than League of Legends.

      yeah this guy isn't even good. Most of his clicks are just wasted spam (high APM, but low EPM). Big difference between real top tier players and this spam / low strat guy. The skill gap in sc2 is insane between the very top tier and below.

    • @HeroSosh
      @HeroSosh 4 роки тому +39

      Jez4prez1 negative. The difference between the top tier champions and this guy, is their timing, game sense, execution , multitasking etc - it’s literally the culmination of every. Single. Action of the game in question.
      That’s why they make them play best of 3/5/7 series. Any pro gamer could lose a game to cheese - doesn’t mean they lost to a better player , that’s why they get another few games to prove it and adapt and 9 times outta 10, the better player is revealed.
      Again, look at any top tier player (who consistently makes top 4 or wins tournaments) they all spam like this.
      This kid didn’t lose because he spammed early on or had low “effective apm” or any of that nonsense.
      Every worker lost, every slow reaction, Everything that happened in this game lead to his loss.
      For example, besides his initial 2 reaper harass, guy didn’t make ANY harass on the Zerg whatsoever for the rest of the game. That’s huge. If U let the Z sit and mass, they’ll run all over u.
      Check any Maru games when he decimated Z. He doesn’t just mass an army and walk across map.
      It’s constant drop ship harass, overlord kills, worker kills etc. ALL OF THOSE FACTORS contribute to winning a game

    At first it looked like he was simply giving the same command over and over. I figured that the game had an internal pause after harvesting, and he was simply re-issuing the order in a rhythm that allowed a tiny bit more efficiency.
    As I watched though, it became clear that about 85% of that clicking was just filler. There were some moments where he really did need to issue orders that fast, but the rest was him keeping his internal tempo steady.

      @FILT The singleplayer is amazing. I highly recommend getting all the trilogy packs. The multiplayer however SUCKS. Well it depends on the player. If you're the type that enjoys something like what you see on the screen, then you'll love it. If you're the type that enjoys building 1 type of unit x100 then just sit back and watch destruction, you'll hate it lol. Also if you live in Asia and you're playing on korea server then gl. The koreans are sweats lol

    • @frawgeatfrawgworld
      @frawgeatfrawgworld 2 роки тому +1

      @FILT its both fun and ridiculously stressful, also the learning curve to compete in multiplayer is ridiculously high, competition is the most unforgiving of any game, and you have to be able to be on the edge of your game every second, but thats what makes it the most rewarding. There's no game that gets you on the edge of your seat like starcraft when a high paced game is going on. But same time it can wear you down and thats why I havent played it consistently in 5 years, now i just play occasionally due to work and even then 1 -2 games is enough stress for me in a week.

  • @andrei87x
    @andrei87x 11 років тому +36

    in rts games, not only the planning/strategy you adopt matters, but also the exectuion. being able to do more things faster than your opponent gives you the edge. pro gamers tend to have at least 300-400 actions per minute. this means you have to be quite fast in what you do. ofcourse not all that actions matter, some are redundant but it helps keeping them focused and building muscle memory (just like a guitar/piano player that practices scales so that he can use them effortlessly in a solo).

      thing about invoker is not the spamming of combos, the combos can always come with practice.the difficult part is knowing what spell to cast that would benefit you and your team the most at each fight.like maybe after a tornado should you cast defeaning blast or emp?or maybe cold snap and alacrity?thats the hard part.and since you have 10 different spells and a refresher youd always have to think about what spells to stack tgt

    • @grah55
      @grah55 8 років тому

      +Adrian “spahgetiboi” Krasniqi in terms of input, the double blink build that began on queen of pain is actually one of the fastest inputs. There are few heroes with the mana pool and usable items that allow for such quick recasts and abilities. QoP is obviously one of the far older heroes and has become a staple with the blink dagger. Another hero would be puck. The built in speed cast heroes now are ones like Storm but the game's spell animations slow him down. After that, the most complex heroes again become unit control heroes. Meepo, Phantom Lancer, Terrorblade, Arcwarden, Naga Siren. For TB, you have to micro your images like they're heroes to maximize your gold farm or multiple battle fighting. For PL, in a team fight you want to make sure you're submodifying yourself away from your images properly. For Meepo you have to submodify poof as well as blink if you use it. For Arcwarden, who's ultimate makes perfect item using copies, Aghanim gives you 3, Necronomicon gives each of those 3 units 2 subunits, and refresher orb allows you to completely exhaust all of the above... twice.... without cooldown. Naga Siren is the easiest to play out of all of the image creators. All you're doing with her is multiplying your damage and casting your ultimate to escape after a push or gank. Invoker can also be a speed hero as well. His speed hunting items are Travels, Manta Style, Mask of Madness, Blink Dagger, And Dagon 5. (Last item is usually wards or some sort of specialty item like wards, gem (dust is lame), bottle, Linkens sphere. Few heroes can shut down an invoker on their own. However, too many harassment spells and voker is done for. If voker doesn't see certain heroes first, it's game over. Most intelligence heroes work like this. Most of them. Other's are purely oppourtunistic heroes like dark seer or Furion.)

The limitations of controls and inputs that basically makes the game play for you attracts beginners to the gaming scene. The auto aim and auto target with addition to absurd range makes the feel of the game seems like auto mode. All of these are the cost of control. It is fustrating to play in where you want to dash out of danger but instead the game dashes into your doom. Or how your attacks prioritizes a low hp tank rather than a squishy full health marksman.
      The game run on auto mode is going to be hard if you want to play it manually because the game wants you to play in auto mode while your game senses wants it otherwise.

    He is clicking the same mineral patch lots of times in a row until the worker that is currently mining finishes collecting its 5 minerals. So the one you are forcing to mine the minerals can start as soon as the first one finishes. To have more workers mining from the patches closest to the command centre, taking less time per trip because of the shorter distance travelled.
    Or "mineral stacking" as its sometimes called.

    A large amount are either creating units, so you cant see him making changes but they are doing things. He is also recreating macros (sets of units he can press one button to command the whole group) constantly so this is a large amount of keypresses. He recreates these macros every time he gets a new unit, which you can see at around 1:10 he does every time a new drone (the ones around the base)
