Eddy is right about things, about the steps and how to dance, but, there is no original kizomba dance, we Angolans called them "passadas" since the days of Semba, that our grandparents gave strides in music, whatever they were, And to this day we Angolans call the "passadas" and not kizomba, because kizomba is music.

There are so many styles out there now from Urban Kiz to Kiz 2.0. It's hard to find the traditionalist version of the video. So you're so right!

    Eddy Vents (UK)
Edson Monteiro, or Eddy Vents as he is known in the wider world was born in Guinea, Africa, but grew up in Lisbon, Portugal. In Lisbon, he started to organize kizomba events, parties and workshops, which now he continues to do in England. Eddy has been exposed to dancing since early age, and he has devoted fifteen years of his life studying it more intensely. He doesn’t stop with just dancing, he learns more about music theory and history, dance history and movements.
Eddy’s dancing style doesn't include flashy moves, he dances and promotes original “Pasada” kizomba dancing style and brings his African roots to the dance. If you are interested to learn the original kizomba dance as it came from Angola, Eddy is your go-to person.
Eddy has been dancing overall for about 27 years now. But he started teaching only in 2010 (after spending years investing in dance). In Portugal Eddy organized events and parties, working with well-known artists as Petchu and Antonio Banderas. People Eddy looks up to are Petchu, Norma Facey Antonio Badeira and To Costa.
Fun fact: Eddy has a dance company called “Pitanga” (check out their videos), which means a tropical fruit.
If you want to learn more about Eddy:
Listen to video interviews with him - you’ll learn how Eddy learned kizomba, and where kizomba dance really comes from

Hi,Eddy ....U mention Kizomba Traditional basic steps, since when Kizomba become traditional dance.Traditional dance of Angola ,or what. thanks ,if u can answer this

We think he's saying that these are the fundamental steps of the dance & not that the dance is classified as traditional dance. Nowadays, the dance has birthed new dances that commingle more tango & other dances. So, he's clarifying what the dance looks like from Angola.
