I lived in Eureka in 1968. I remember the top 40 station (KRED) had a commercial with a guy speaking a fake thick german accent and talking about The Grateful Dead and the Quicksilver Messenger Service. I think the Snoopy vs. The Red Baron stuff was going on, maybe why the ad-guy decided it would be cool. I'm super pumped to listen to this again, as it's really top notch.
I love the band❤ But the the way Weir was hitting the counter chords in New Potato Caboose❤ Love that Jazz Counter structure❤ I love how the Band exchanges solos throughout the song seem less!❤ Trips is hitting hard❤ I wish they had played it during the years I went to shows❤ Retired it much too early.
