Bandlab would have been removed from my system if this man had not been present. I learned almost everything about bandlab from this gentleman because bandlab were woefully lacking in proper tutorials anywhere. Thank you Sir!
don't have the pattern clip Do you know when it's coming out and also I really wish that they would change that piano roll and those midi instruments. Do you know if that's in the making Thanks
@shadesmichaels1718 I signed up for early release of updates a few years ago so I think I get them 3 or 4 days before official release, so you will probably get the update in the next couple of days (if not already). I'm not aware of any updates for piano roll or midi instruments so probably not soon.
Hi Trev. Perhaps a stupid question but since this drum machine is taken from one of the existing drum kits, then why has it been separated out from the midi instruments? I guess I mean, why don't I simply load up a drum kit from midi instruments and create my iwn drum beat? What additional advantage is this drum machine feature giving me? Regards
@stevena3244 Hi, thanks for your excellent question 😀👍 The drum machine has the advantage that it is easier to use for beginners, artists that are not drummers or artists that find using the in-track step sequencer (or recording a drum beat with the pads) difficult. It sounds like you have a good understanding of creating drum beats in the in-track step sequencer but perhaps the drum machine may still be useful as a way to quickly try out new beat ideas or to quickly create a temporary beat track when you have a sudden music inspiration 😀
@jeffreyraymondarthur230 Thanks 😀👍 Compound time, shuffle, swing, triplets... These are all concepts that are beyond BandLab... The only option currently is to switch off snap (to grid) and create them manually on a virtual instrument track.
@bluegene7167 Hi, thanks 😀👍 I'm on Android too... This popped up yesterday on version 10.59.1 update... So I had to change my video schedule to get this one out today.
@aryangaming7801 The drum machine is a quick and easy way to create a drum beat but it is very basic, so sadly it has no option to change the velocity of any notes or change the volume of each individual drum or cymbal.
How do I add another vertical beat line in the drum machine? There are16 beat lines but I need 17. How do I add another line😅 If you do reply then thankyou!
@TophatyTophat2 Hi, the 16 lines are 16th notes (4 notes per beat and 4 beats per bar measure). This is standard 4/4 timescale. 17 lines would be 17th notes or 17/4. It's note directly supported by bandlabs drum machine but is possible (if a little complicated). Tap on the 1 bar icon, then tap on 2 bars. Use the 1st line of bar 2 for 17th line. Close drum machine. On track clip screen, zoom out until ruler has 16 lines per bar measure. Drag the end of drum machine clip until it is 17 lines on the ruler long. You will need to use copy and paste to duplicate the drum beat, along the track (instead of loop). The ruler will not match to each 17/4 bar measure but if that is a problem, you will need to export the beat to audio, import the audio back in and use the time stretch option to resize it to the ruler bar measure.
@eduardog8758 The drum machine always opens with the 808 drum kit... to change the drum kit, tap on 808 just below the words Drum Machine (top left of the screen on the drum machine screen). The drum machine has 2 drum beats added, one in clip A and one in clip B... these beats are always the same every time you add a drum machine and do not change, even if you change the drum kit, so usually you will need to create your own drum beats.
@zyrustoraja13 Drum machine does not directly support triplets. It is possible but complicated... You would need to tap on the 1 bar icon and tap on 4 bars, create your 1 bar beat over 3 bars (3 steps to a 16th note instead of 1 step), so each step becomes a triplet. Then short the clip on the track clips screen to 3 bars long (use copy and paste to duplicate it along the track). Then make your beat 3 times faster, so for example, 80bpm becomes 240bpm (240bpm is bandlab max tempo).
@ButPhilo The X icon near the top right of the screen closes the current screen and the exit icon (looks like a left arrow and a half circle) at the top left of the screen closes the current project.
@im_avg_joe I see the drum machine as a simple way to create a drum track for those who do not have the skills to create a step sequencer drum track (or Sampler drum track) or simply don't need a custom drum track or custom drum kit. So yes it is very basic but I'm guessing that's probably deliberate.

It’s so annoying I want custom drum kits that I can make myself on the app like importing files for the drum machine
@cartisbunny
Hi,
If you want to create custom drum kits using audio samples, then the sampler is probably the best option in BandLab
How to exit from the top??
@ButPhilo
The X icon near the top right of the screen closes the current screen and the exit icon (looks like a left arrow and a half circle) at the top left of the screen closes the current project.
The drum machine track seems pointless, because I can't use my own drum sounds 👎🏼
