Vintage awesomeness at 20:29. That sound reminds me of Roland VP-330 / Yamaha SK 30 etc. The Blade Runner-esque sounds though, they're not quite there..
This should end the analogue digital debate, this seems to sound better than the 3rd wave to my old ears, more pleasant and warm. But also somewhat gritty with that beautiful moog filter.
I think the muse is pretty much the culmination of all moogs up to this point (excluding the model D, which i don’t hear much of). I get voyager, moog one and matriarch vibes a plenty
The device is wonderfull but for me the obvious flow is slow boot and I think it is a good thing that someone has put it in the review. The machine is too expensive for such cpu/mem compromises in production just to make it more profitable. Reminds me of my also expensive ex Kurzweil K2000R that run on slow RISC cpus that suffered from slow interface and hickups in sequencer mode.
ive seen others complain about this but? not sure it matters TBH. Itss an analogue synth so really needs some time to warm up anyway. Its also about the same time to load as my fantom and 3rd wave - though not as fast as other analogues I own. Maybe were just too impatient theres days and everything must be instant.
Please, read description : MUSE's OS is sooooo slow to load! Almost every synth demo I start to record when I turn the synth's power on. So, here I wait for about 1 minute because Muse's OS needs that time to "wake up". I was very confused with the long OS load so I checked that and turned power On/Off several times and everytime Muse did the same long OS load procedure.
@@wolfgangSvukan Did you update to V1.10? That should reduce the load time. But yeah, Muse runs on a big chunk of software, so there will always be a load time. Just like my Hydrasynth and System 8, actually (though those are a bit faster). Nice demo btw!
@@Dudderlyful A proper demonstration must convey the user experience. Therefore startups need to be included.. but I'm curious about the odd video frame..
@@wolfgangSvukan I dont get "slow" boots being a problem. 1. Other synths (not analogue admittedly) take a reasonable tim e- my Fantom and 3rd wave both take about the same as my Muse. 2. Meh, for some reason the synth doesn’t really speak to me. It’s a shame since I have been waiting impatiently for its release. For me the Prophet Rev 2 sounds more interesting, and for $500 less. Yea it does have a lot of cool features, but that doesn’t really matter if the core sound isn’t great. Thanks for the preset run through.
I havent heard a video yet that really captures this synth. I have aMuse so maybe bias, but I also have an OB6, Prophet 6, 3rd wave among others - and Muse easily sits in that group sonically. We are all different though, and opinion is just that - not fact.
Nice Vangelis work. You are talented.

I think, it loads faster if you update the firmware. You can also see the progress while it's doing so.
Just so you know - the first 40+ seconds of the video are silence…

You can just edit that minute out before uploading the video maybe 😅@@wolfgangSvukan
