@@LarryBird_ she is not a "chick". She is a hard working young lady which is more than I can say for most these other whiny 20 something year olds. She comes from a family of truckers so she was already familiar with the business. She didn't have to get into trucking. She chose to. No one handed her anything. She impresses the hell out of me.
@@robertlawler1387 I actually worked as soon as I was of age at 15 while I was still in school.. just saying. Not sure what you’re trying to say in your comment.
You have grown on me very quick. I look forward to your next videos. Trucking is basically a crappy job but your always positive no matter what the circumstances. Flatbedding is not easy work but your willing to get out there and get it done. You actually help me out attitude wise. Not too many people your age are willing to work that hard and put in the hours us truckers put in. You have won me over. Subbed 👍
That makes me really happy my channel has grown on you! I appreciate the sub, also I try to stay as positive as I can be because I believe if you think positive, you do positive, things in your life will more likely be positive! Just my thoughts haha idk! Thank ya Mark. Stay safe!
Lol, the guy we helped turn out to be our helper, that's what she said! 😁 I had so much fun Becca! We're watching your video right smiling so big. Heheh
I have a lot of respect for flatbed drivers. Most of my loads is simple drop and hook. Really like how other drivers are willing to help and teach each other tricks to make life easier. BTW you not only got a team driver but a assistant camera person. 😃
Back breaking work you are performing. Putting up with pickup and drop off locations and meeting your scheduled times. It is all amazing. Thanks for doing what you do.
I'll have a recommend for any driver. To get your own authority m c and d o t number. Buy your own truck and your own trailer and pull for yourself. And for god's sakes try and negotiate the broker. No one should be pulling for less than $3 a mile at bear minimum.
As a flatbed/stepdeck driver i want to take a moment and Give Becca a shout out!!!!! She really is killing it out there flatbed work isn't for everyone keep it up!!!!!
Love your videos. Keep it up! You do a great job keeping it light and fun doing a job that can be frustrating and tedious and boring at times. I drove for 15 years before retiring. Ignore all the negative stuff. That's a reflection of the person doing it, not you. Always remember that.
Here's what i used to do when the load was just slightly longer than the tarps, i would take a poly tarp like from home Depot and use that to cover the back. It's not as pretty when rolling down the road but it's so much easier and works well. If you have them wooden vee-boards help with rolling out tarps on coil loads. I hang my bungees the same way, i count 28 in hand, bundle then up the way the guy shows and then i wrap one bungee around the bundle so it's not a floppy mess, making it a bundle of 30 and they don't tangle up as much. I also hung my bungees from the slats in my catwalk and ive never lost any to the road, but this depends on your catwalk style. Mine was vertical slats with a rod through them, and i put my bungee hooks facing up.
I tried to drive otr with a guy who had a dog and he was a smoker. He supposedly had allergies, so he kept the windows up while smoking. We did a run from D/FW to Portland, Sea/Tac and back. I wanted to jump out on the way home. I did learn a lot from him as he was one of the original chicken haulers back in the day. Good to see you haven't been driven away by the seedy ass drivers out there on the road. There are some damn nice truckers but the bad ones are the biggest scumbags. Stay off that radio is my advice. Hahahaaaa. Just awesome, keep it up. Wish we had more drivers unafraid to make an honest living while keeping the country moving.
Happy birthday, Ben Ben! And Becca, you’re so lucky to be able to try food from all over the country. You can probably make a separate UA-cam food channel with all the delicious food you show us. And as a fellow taco lover, what’s your favorite meat to have in a taco? And where would you say you had the best tacos? And do you prefer hard or soft?
I'm going to chime in and say most kids today don't have the "initiative drive" to want to work hard. I'm a flatbedder as well and it can be very difficult at times. At 23 y/o, Becca has already won!! Her determination to mind 80,000 lbs of highway equipment, juggle weather conditions & 2 dogs, feed herself and get the proper rest required to do all, shows the rest of the world that anything is possible if you engage your mind. One question: When have you seen her complain about anything trucking, even learning to drive an 18 speed? We need more Beccas in this industry (male or female) that have the ambition she has. Way to go, Becca!!!
See you confidences growing and nice job with the tarps. Today is 12/11/2022 saw you or one of your company trucks in Sinclair , Wy. Safe travels Thank you to both keep the streams coming when your able. One load One day at a time. God Bless both you young ladies for the job only a few ladies will do.
I know one thing for sure I’d rather fold those tarps when it’s hot/warm rather than in freezing temps with wind. I found that out in Nebraska with frozen tarps 🥲 but all respect to you keep that grind!!!
Suggestion if you haven't figured it out yet: get hold of a piece of tarp for when you end up short. That way you won't have to unroll the whole tarp for two coils.
