What a blessing to hear..not because I was abused or in an orphanage but because in everyday life I know adults who have held in to anger for years. Bless you and all tje other sisters world wide. I went to a Catholic school kindergarten through 8th grade. Then came a public high school and all the mess and trouble that comes with it. I graduated in 1983 11th grade education. Never made it to 12th grade. Now at 54 years i am finally finding Jesus!. I had my bouts with alcohol, injuries, surgeries, drug addiction and all that comes with that. I am searching for Jesus because I want and need more. I just wanted you to know that I have sooo many fond memories of growing up in that Catholic school, St Michaels Parochial school in Annandale Virginia and think about those days frequently, and when I do I know in my heart that those were truly the best days of my life. Now getting old I have come to the conclusion that with The blood of Jesus which was spilled for me, I have the opportunity to make tje days ahead the best in my life and just wanted you to know that it all started when I was a little boy in 1970 and you nuns are my fondest memory and a mental go to which is bright, shiny, and warm. Thank you for doing what you do. Never as long as you live forget what you do and your sisters of the past have done for so many kids. If i had to do it all over again i would do the same and change the years from 14 to 54. Bless you and all of your sisters, one of my fondest memories. John
Brilliant talk. This is what you feel when one speaks to you and it comes from the heart. She must have had a torrid beginning as a young nun. God bless her
When I began to watch this video it was just like any TED-talk, which normally doesn't bring tears to my eyes... but as soon as sister Agnes mentioned the girl who said that it was her first safe night the tears kept running. And it brought a lot of associations to my mind of how we usually live our lives without any considerations of what really is important in life. It is not to have an abundance of things in the first hand (a fairly good standard helps), but the primary is to be loved.
Shows what God can do when we have faith and simply act in love. Be channels of God's love and don't worry about experience, qualifications, or even money or personal strength or talents (and don't worry about getting 'satisfaction' for yourself, or credit or thanks or reward). Just reach out in self-giving love, and God will work through you and work miracles in the lives of others.
personal strengths and talents are hat make life beautiful.... inspirational and are primers for growth and foundations to overcome barriers and hardships in life..... truly traits like these make the spirit grow and aspire to do more with their lives..... this is what makes life so beautiful and enigmatic..... just think about what happens to the brain when you dream at night..... or the way poetry or working feels or your first kiss.... or the good feelings u achieve after accomplishing hard works and getting somewhere in life..... things like this are what make me believe in a higher power... just the sheer enthrallment from these experiences speaks to the soul and sttest to the fact that they are good things and reflect a design... spirituallity and belief isnt confined to religion... their are many positive thigns ine xistence other than love that give people the drive to overcome.... honor... passion... enigmas... anthrallment.... desire... excitement... blisss. ... being proud of yourself.... compassion.......... so yeah it saddens me to belittle or emonize all these wonders as if it's some form of ungodliness when so much power and beauty is derived from it

Thank you sister. God Bless you. I raised 2 sons, who had issues, some related to divorce. My sons are now in their late thirties, and finally successful, in their careers. This has only happened , for one, in the past 2 years. They are both very intelligent, charming and handsome. However, I’m still their Mom. They love me, as much as I love them. It’s been a long tough road. “Less Traveled” I like you took the time (my whole life) , and I would do it all over again. They have residual issues, however ,they are loving productive men. Had I not put in all I did daily for 35 years, they may not be in this good place today. The total commitment of unconditional love Works. Every child needs and deserves this.. I have to add, that they from the moment they were born, have been the greatest joy of my life. I have done foster care with these types of children, and it can be most challenging, as sister is saying. We don't always receive an immediate reward when we have a break through moment with these children, because we may not always realize the moment happened, as in the bedtime story! Fast forward 20 years, and thanks to Facebook, 2 of my foster children found me. I was completely amazed at how I impacted these 2 separate cases!
This was a wonderful and compelling story of how being there for children (and adults), seeing past the behavior and loving them uncondiitionally and recognizing the vulnerable spirit behind the behavior -- it can truly be a life-changing experience to someone crying out for help. Mary Agnes you are making a huge wonderful difference -- not only to the children that you touch but to those of us who need this message to look beyond the noise of everyday life, angry responses and to see the humanity in each of us . Thank you so very much.
Beautiful sister ( In the spiritual sense). These experiences relate to Sunday school teaching. If you had been teaching in church for long enough, you may have encountered with children with disturbing behavior ( biting Sunday school teachers, throwing stones to church ushers, screaming all the way with no reasonable explanation, and all that kind of stuff). It's one of the most difficult experiences, but at the same time, one of the most rewarding. This is why Christian churches, Catholic or Protestants ( In my particular case Pentecostal) are so important to the process of healing our communities.
Thank you for speaking your truth from a heart filled with Christ's love for you and for all whom He leads to your heart. You are so blessed dearest Sister. Br Sean x
I hate religious establishment but not people. Not sister like sister Mary, that's why I use time and listen to her. She said it herself, she is not a terapist and she does not have any formal education in human behaviour but she is a human who has engaged herself in working with other human beings and I know when some body do that, she's got to learn abut humans and therefor it worth to listen to them. Thank you sister Mary, I am happy that I listened to you, because I learned something from you and to confirm your point, yes we do make a change as you did by this short speech.
her message is "to be present" which would make people, especially children, feel loved & important. when I see everyone on their phones, ignoring their children & and everyone around them, it's no wonder the drug addiction & suicide rates have climbed to the levels they have!
Most likely you don't realize how great you are sister Mary Agnes. Let GOD bless you in the HIGHEST. You Are Making A Difference and KEEP IT GOING!!! We need more people like you, we really do. Thank You Mary. Blessed Be the name of our Lord Jesus Christs...

Thank you and God bless you in making the world a better place. John.
What I picked up from this talk was about the difference I could make to someones life...and I work with people who have dementia. This lady appears very kind and I thoroughly enjoyed the talk. I was not put off by what she was wearing and who she was....and she wasn't preaching religion. In an hours time I will be visiting a lady with Parkinsons disease and this talk will stay with me. I am so grateful I watched this video through.
Sister thank you for helping those kids. As a bride of Christ you become the mother of those kids. It shows in this world that there are good Religious among the bad things going on in the Church. Are you making a difference, Yes, when you act like Christ. Jesus said "I come to serve not to be served and as people who enter the convent strive for that, they will make a difference. Again thanks for looking after God's children.
What a gift she has to let the children feel , to give them her time and attention so they feel valued and not judge or preach. So much like Jesus. I'm praying that God blesses her ministry and many more children find healing under her care.
This is a definite reflection of the Love of Christ. Bless her Lord. We all at one time think we would like our lives to make a HUGE change in the world but typically its these little acts of love that truly matters.

I have always enjoyed Catholics recounting their experiences with Nuns, weather in school, church...the reoccurring theme-even if they found themselves fearful of an individual event, it was ALLways the love and compassion that held the day and lasted. Thank you sister for sharing such a beautiful and powerful experience. God bless you 🙏
More Sister Mary Agnes now please. jk but something about her is so genuine and entertaining, she is special.
How wonderful- congrats!
Sister Mary Agnes...thank you for sharing. I needed to hear your words.
Thank you Sister for your words of wisdom...GOD be with Us....
A very gentle and inspirational talk! Her words 'make a difference.'
Sister Mary Agnes Dombroski has a beautiful aura.
Genuine sharing and a practical approach to how to make difference. May God bless you Dear Rev Sister.
Very wonderful, moving and enlightening talk. Thank you. Bless you.
We should all be like this. Showing theirs another way to treat ourselves and others. Glad I saw this.
So simple, so profound. Wonderful!
Let’s not wait for religion to call us to this behavior - we can be this simply bc we are.
Thank you Sister Mary Agnes for sharing your story. You are doing the most important work in the world and you have not just effected those children for the better but so many like myself who need to hear there is goodness operating in the world. Thank you and God bless you in making the world a better place. John.
sister is also like Angel in the world to accompany and heal people who are in hurted soul.
God Bless you Sister.
Such beautiful empathy! Thank you Sister. You're doing lots more than conventional therapists. So much truth in your words!
Makes perfect sense, such wonderful heart of this woman and people.
It is very beautiful intelligence that speaks through this lady...
Dear sister you are indeed God's mighty instrument.
Wow! to what the little girl told her! ❤ Thank God for people like Sister Agnes
Thank you for being such a great being. Taking care of kids. May God bless you Sister Mary Agnes.
So wonderful and heartening to hear their philosophy of looking past behaviour to the person and making that child feel they are of infinite worth 🌹🌹🌹
Can you imagine that commitment to lock ones self up to that God connection and grow and flower with others.
What a beautiful soul you are Sister. Thank you.

She said theu arent therapist, nope= you are better than that]
I feel grateful to listen to your talk! Thank you
I have always enjoyed Catholics recounting their experiences with Nuns, weather in school, church...the reoccurring theme-even if they found themselves fearful of an individual event, it was ALLways the love and compassion that held the day and lasted. Respect and love, something to remember again and again...
Thank you Sister Mary Agnes.
The most kind, powerful thing you can give to another person is your attention.
God bless you sister. You are beautiful. In what a great way you are carrying out Lord's mission.
People like this have changed the world. Those in religious orders have selflessly loved the poor and the damaged. We owe them a lot.
