He's been re-designed a number of times over the years, many of them being small but the blue hedgehog has taken on many different looks. This is the kind of sentence that feels to insane to be real but sadly it’s real.
The 3D model of Sonic you rank early is from Wreck It Ralph 2. IMO, it's a really cool design because his mouth isn't restricted to the side and can move all around the muzzle.

People always hate the boom design but it looks pretty good I'm not saying it's should be in f or a but it is okay skin which is good thing sonic arms are blue it's due that it's more easier for the animators because those sa1 and sa2 cutscenes are terrible you see sonic arms when it's tan it's getting inside his body which is 🤮

I am unfortunately too far deep in the hole and I know his style instantly although it took me a minute to place as I thought it was an official comic cover.
The weird at the top of D tier is from artwork of a failed movie pitch called Sonic Armageddon by former Archie Writer Ken Penders. He drew this as well. If you don’t know who he is, I hope I can preserve your innocence but look it up if you’re curious.
