For real, I was getting 95ish on desktop before the update anyway while still getting below 40 for mobile. Also, my FCP, LCP, TBT, and CLS have fluctuated massively over the past week, with little to no changes to the settings. I've had mobile scores at nearly 90, then for seemingly no reason it drops to below 50
@@MrGadu95 It was the first or second patch after the major update so around 4.10.1 or .2 im still having problems, they added their own preloader which screwed mine up and page speed still fluctuates between 40-70, its generally improved the speed but nothing like what they say
things like adding their own preloader tho without letting people know is a big fuck up in my opinion it completely fucked up a load of my custom CSS and javascript. they obviously did it because it improves scores on things like gt metrix and page insights but they should've told people thats what they did, my site was only showing a constant preloader if you used another device or incognito whereas it seemed perfectly fine from wordpress dashboard
I realise, Chandra, you'd asked a year ago, so just for anyone else with this question: an old Divi blog post had recommended images to be between 60 Kb for minimum quality and 200 Kb max for loading. That seems to be a good range, depending on the original quality of the image.
I have created a custom header from the theme builder and it's working on the editing area. But the header design is breaking on the website when I hit my website homepage. Is it a BUG? please help me
So full width header with jpeg background being full width is now a NO NO. Which means a great many of his videos are no longer applicable! How is it that other themes are able to offer this without effects on page speed?
not impressed!!! Divi is just trying to make content and engaging customer according to google new core update, but Divi not update the theme and setting to make it improve the speed of the website i have a blog on gaming I'm using Divi but I'm facing speed issue on mobile while using Divi
The recent performance update was mainly about speed and removing bloat. It still doesn't prevent designers of creating sites that load slowly due to large images, too many fonts and not using cache plugins to create static pages.
@@TommiPuuska yes, try to make some tutorials to make Divi website fast, being as blogger i'm not satisfying even i have 10 gb ram of server, but still can't meet google new update
Load speed i am so sick of this. Best is just html - so it loads fast and you have 100 percent. Or only 2 pictures and no video, no animation and nothing. This makes no sense at all.
I will be updating all my sites and really appreciate this optimization review. Will you be recommending the use of webp images? If not, why?
Thank you so much for all the special informations, Big help :)
Thank you very much that's exactly what I'm looking for
He shows the 100 percent on the Desktop view. But what was the 10-fold more important result on mobile? ;D

@@joefawcett2191 what's your divi version? I'm still using an old one but not sure If It's worth to update If It's not changing anything

Really helpful, thanks for the video
So obviously serving images webp is better than any other format but isnt SVG a step ahead of JPG?
Very nice video. What is the max size of image do you recommend so that it is optimized for faster loading?

Do you guys know, that your divi builder has problems with php 8, it doesn't open
What about extra theme? I test extra theme with divi, and extra theme still not good in Google speed.
Great video, I thought you may like to know that you spelt this word wrong: Refereed, I believe you meant: Referred?
Thanks :)
why did you do jpeg instead of webp?

How do svg files impact the speed?
Replace PNG's with Webp files and enjoy awesome designs
