Hi Trond this little bird has to be in my top five of all the birds you have photographed so yeah I loved this little video . Until next time take care and stay safe my friend.
Wow, I remember a flash across my windscreen a few years back, got out of the truck and yes a Goldcrest, I put it in a burger box in the warm of my cab, Later on it came to life, and I returned it to the place I had found it, not before I spent 5 minutes with it perched on my fingers, A beautiful bird, Thankbyou again Trond 🌅🌅🌅
Fabulous vid buddy and a great tactic for all wildlife eh... One of my favourite birds and sometimes you get a firecrest too when you are looking for the goldcrests. Spot on shots and footage as always my friend and looking forward to the editing vid, all the best JP....
Excellent! Really enjoyed the journey! The Goldcrest is wonderfully similar to the Golden-crowned Kinglet in North America....It is a bird of black spruce bogs here. Outstanding images!
Very nice once again Trond! We have those here too and we call them Kinglets, the golden crowned variety. We also have the Ruby Crowned Kinglets also..
I look forward coming home from work and seeing your UA-cam videos. Fantastic as always thank you so much for doing these videos looking forward to seeing the next one
Hey Trond, Great video!! I really like this type of video. Adding the view of the image on the back of the camera and then the finished image is a great touch. Kinda like being there with you. I am so anxious to have our Fall birds arrive! Wonderful stills! As always... Sayin' hey.... Greg
Love this video i also love getting out in my nighthawk hide to take pics of the wildlife you have inspired me to do more and i thank you from the UK 🇬🇧
I can only imagine that the person who disliked this is either very jealous or came across this vlog by mistake whilst looking for a murder mayhem gaming site or ….. something. Great work Trond, as always. Keep it up.
Wowwww as you're so greatful to create some extraordinary frame of this fast Bird so happy to see this beautiful Birds this one is still in my Lifer categories 🤞 Hope I will try to capture soon 😍
I do both landscape and nature. Im learning that Wildlife photography is something that takes massive patience. And often disappointment. You nailed it brother. How do you like that pop up? I'm thinking of getting one for my pack. The bigger hunting ones are just to cumbersome with all the gear to hike with.
Yet another outstanding image. Despite hours of trying to get decent shot of Goldcrest I’ll try again with this technique. What source do you use Trond for bird call ?
Nydelige bilder! :) Og takk for tips! Så fuglekongen for første gang i vår, i Skibotn, men fikk ikke noen gode bilder av den. Neste år skal jeg prøve dine triks, om jeg finner fuglen. 🙂

I guess I should be doing and filming this right now instead of hunting ghosts. Thanks for the inspiration, Trond :)
Haha....Its a cool bird to photograph. Its a bit smaller ghosts tho ;)
The Goldcrest is a beautiful little bird for sure, never sits still for very long. Beautiful photos Trond 👍🏻

I can only imagine that the person who disliked this is either very jealous or came across this vlog by mistake whilst looking for a murder mayhem gaming site or ….. something. Great work Trond, as always. Keep it up.
It might be because Trond uses a call and gets photos of the birds and the thumbs down guy doesn't use s call and doesn't get the shots lol
Man it’s been too long since I photographed Golden-crowned Kinglets. Might need to get out soon and see if I can find some. Great video bro!
Thanks a lot Jamin! Go get those beautiful birds :) Looking forward to some images from you
Wowwww as you're so greatful to create some extraordinary frame of this fast Bird so happy to see this beautiful Birds this one is still in my Lifer categories 🤞 Hope I will try to capture soon 😍

Thank you for the wonderful video tutorial. Great advice! Did you take video footage with the D5? Video AND stills are very nice.
Your welcome Michael! I used the D500 for videos and stills. Thanks a lot!
We have a Ruby and Golden crowned kinglets here in North America. I think these are in a very close family to your goldcrest
First like🥰
Nice job Trond 👍🏼
Thanks a lot Greg!
Again great pictures and great video, may I ask how you like your motifs?
Thanks a lot! :) Motifs? I am not sure what that means 🙈
@@trondwestby I mean the little tripods where you pinch flowers, etc. :-)
Nice image bro .. thanks for teaching us the technique. can i know what lens been use there ?.. 200-500mm F5.6 ? or 500m F4
Thanks a lot! I use the 500mm f4.
Great vid. Fantastic photos. (I think your Tragopan affiliate link might be broken, by the way!)
Its not affiliated, but here is the link you can use: tragopan-shop.com
@@trondwestby Yep, thanks, i found it. Just wanted to let you know in case you were missing out on your commission. 😊
@@AndyDay Thanks a lot Andy! Great you found it :) All the best!

Thanks a lot! I really like this blind. I have tried many, but this is my favorite.
Robert Kelly has used the correct description “outstanding image”
Thank you so much Stephen!
Yet another outstanding image. Despite hours of trying to get decent shot of Goldcrest I’ll try again with this technique. What source do you use Trond for bird call ?
Thank you so much Robert! I use a small BT speaker and an app on my iphone.
Hi Trond, a shutter speed of 200 till 500? Because of the bird speed and agility it seems to low. Let me know your thoughts thanks in advance 👍
Hi Trond, Which equipment (lens+camera) were you using in this video?
Hi! I use Nikon D500 camera and 500mm f4 for the bird. And I use Panasonic GH4 and gopro for vlogging.
Amazing fotos as usual. Which season color is your tent? Spring or fall?
trond no plan photographing bird around wallacea?
Not at the moment. Maybe one day :)
So is the Nikon D500 still a good camera?
Absolutely! I love this camera.
Nydelige bilder! :) Og takk for tips! Så fuglekongen for første gang i vår, i Skibotn, men fikk ikke noen gode bilder av den. Neste år skal jeg prøve dine triks, om jeg finner fuglen. 🙂
Tusen takk Pål! Håper du får den neste gang du ser den :)
