That is how you make it!.. I just came from a Mexican restaurant and they used a flour tortilla and folded it like a burrito and fried it and it wasn't that great tasting..
Yeah, I made that mistake the first time I attempted to make flautas. I bought flour tortillas instead of corn. Big mistake! But then I watched this video and attempted to make them a second time, and they came out perfect! What the hell Mexican restaurant did you go to that made a gringo error like using a flour tortilla to make flautas? Remind me never to go there!
I baked mine in a FlavorWave Turbo Oven and they turned out just fine. I brushed the top of the flautas with olive oil and sea salt before baking them for 5 minutes. Because they aren't fried, they will come out a bit on the dry side, so I suggest serving them with sour cream or another sauce.
I used this method for my family and they. Loved it! They had no idea I couldn't make them! My mom does most of the cooking. Yes I'm that one Mexican that can't cook Mexican food too much unless it's tacos or enchiladas lol.
Gracias. Me encanto la idea en que usted gravo el video en espanol, y a la ves lo tenia con suptitulos en ingles. :) Mi esposo es de Michoacan y estoy segura que le encantara la idea que aprendi una reseta nueva de una persona Michoacana. Provecho
Great video. I was always taught that flautas are made of flour tortillas and tacos dorados are the ones from corn. Who knows, probably regional differences in the name.
see, i'm a bit confused. these look amazing but they also look super similar to the Taquitos Dorados my mom would make for us. She's from the coast so maybe its just a different name? not sure. Never the less. Looking forward to making these some time this week!
Get you a slow cooker, spice up the chicken before you cook it. The chicken is also easier to shred. And join "rgv cookaholics" on Facebook for lots of tips and dishes.
Thank you for the English subtitles!! Cannot wait to make these!
Lol wow i have always cooked the tortillas in the oil first. Shred my chicken with mayonnaise. Roll them, eat them soft or fry them. Delicious.
Gracias por el video! Me encanta ver como cosinan diferentes platos mexicanos.
Very nice! Nothing like some good flautas the way you just made them!
I like how she spreads the toppings now each one is ready to eat

Como preparas la crema mexicana? Que lleva?
Is that cabbage or lettuce? It sounded like she said "lechuga" which is "lettuce" in spanish.
Its cabbage. She said REPOLLO (:
Parecen taquitos dorados,y esa salsa para niños
That woman can cook her behind off! And yes, that's a compliment.
What if you don't have a microwave?
¿ ESA CREMA ES CREMA DE LECHE COMO LA DE LOS POSTRES?
Please comment back*** what is the brand of the cream & cheese that you use ?
Is that pasilla chile?
Excelente. Nothing like a sexy Latina to show you how to cook Flautas. I'm off to the kitchen to give it a try!
why not use tooth picks to keep the flauta from opening?
what kind of crema is that?
i'm wondering the same thing
just sour cream and cotija cheese
Le quitaron la piel a los tomates?
Can I get the recipe?
what kind of cheese?
Oaxaca Cheese
Isn't the cabbage (repollo) more like our lettuce. To use our cabbage is harsh. Me gusts much estate receta.
????? you're looking at it
It is NOT the same. Baked corn tortillas are very tough.
I made this but chicken was very flavorless
