Another thing I love about George Duke he had a way with coming up with titles for various songs like Buffalo Soldiers, 500mi 2 go, I believe it was bus tours, Brazilian coffee and rise up and he knew how to balance between using fender rhodes from the 60s, up to this time now although he passed away but his spirit lives and his legacy is alive and well and will forever remain in our hearts. I'm gonna continue to do tributes in his honor I make that I make it known that I don't own the rights to his songs that he wrote lyrically and composed I don't want to get sued by the publishing company, children and those whom he worked with I always want to have their respect. God bless his family Rachelle Ferrell and Dianne Reeves as well wherever they maybe God watch over them and keep them.
I remember this !!! I Was an exchange student in West Covina, CA. I recorded it in a VCR. It was a very nice TV Show called RED HOT & COOL, hosted by Nancy Wilson. I´m a not professional bass player and a hudge fan of Stanley Clarke and George Duke !!! Very nice to see it again !!! Eduardo Avallone .'. from Brazil !
Oi Eduardo ! Happy to know that u like Stanley Clarke e George Duke..! This is my biggest influencial music ! By the way, check out my channel, and hope you enjoy ! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Red Hot and Cool hosted by Nancy. Two have two legends Stanley Clarke/George Duke what a collaborative-an awesome collaboration I believe that too they done three projects together surrounding involving the both of them. George Duke was my musical keyboard 🎹 influences the style he played although I have my own style of playing I incorporated his style into my reputiore library. And I admire him because brought to bring to the table meaning he was eclectic meaning he had an appreciation for different styles of music. And one time I never shall forget the interview I bring give the audience my all I bring it. Whether taking them to church, Mardi Gras, (ragtime), standard jazz, funk, r&b, Brazilian and etc. He also mentioned to that he came out of church u can tell it in the way he plays those gospel cords. And my conclusion he has collaborated with some great artists, songwriters, and producers, along with the other musician from Detroit who attended Cass Tech High School his name: Greg Phillinganes I don't know who nickname him but they call him "Fast Fingers" because he was awesome with going up and down the ivories at a rapid speed great piano riffs/runs he's my keyboard influences and very comical, humble and born again Christian.
