Yeah 2:18:40 is basically Kiryu for the first time basically going "Yeah no, I'm actually going to kill you", and while that didn't necessarily happen, it's still interesting to see how far he had to be pushed for Kiryu to get into this mindset
Kiryu reuniting with Haruka, letter to Daigo, and Kiryu's final steps. I don't think there are many games that have hit me that many times to make me tear up.
*Kiryu's death* I cry *he lives* I'm happy as fuck *chooses to live alone and never get to see his family again, so he can protect them* I cry again Fuckin whirlwind of emotions this game did to me. lol
Goes in premium adventure and do karaoke to feel better I happy I start the new song hands I enjoy how upbeat it is Song video begins playing I bawl I lose Kareoke because I can't see through tears I go through 5 stages of grief in 1 minute but forget to do acceptance That's how the Yakuza works.
I've always had an interpretation that Kiryu kills, he just dosen't out of Vengeance, Revenge, or Wrath. Hence all his comments about "not being a saint" and never himself actually saying he won't kill. The idea he dosen't kill was merely perpetuated by the large figures which received his mercy and figured "...if he didn't kill ME, then I guess he dosent kill at all. He had every reason to finish me off." So when it comes to grunts and self defense, I've always seen it as he kills/gets those people killed as thats what he sees as his best option in the moment. But resigns to never kill due to anger or emotions related, as he saw how much doing that can tear a person down. YAKUZA 1/KIWAMI SPOILER: "Like with the entire falling apart of his closest ally, Nishiki, who had himself told him not to kill out of anger and pain.
Yakuza 6, even though it's not one of the best in the series it's one of my favourites. Idk why it is my favourite but I guess the thought of Kiryu leaving his friends and family just so that he can protect them is quite nice and also a nice end for Kiryu's story
Same here. I hold a lot of sentimental value for Y6 (mainly over its story and how everything wraps up in Kiryu's journey). Many tears were shed. Its honestly one of my top five favorites in the whole series.
The only two happy moments i felt in that ending is Akiyama knowing what happened and my headcanon that Kiryu went to Kaoru and they lived happily ever after.
Aren't kaoru work with FBI? She did said that she was working as special agent at America with the other dude i forgot his name but he always helping kiryu since yakuza kiwami 1
This game was a rollercoaster of emotions, we'll see how the next one goes but please do take your time before playing the 7th game. I understand this game was great emotional stress
I thought it was just a problem with my game when I played, but I guess it’s bug for everyone. It would’ve been more cursed if the model of Haruto was in a T-pose lmao
1998, I cried knowing Sailor Moon had ended, meaning I won't get to see Usagi again. 2016, I cried knowing Yakuza Kiryu saga had ended, meaning I won't get to see Kiryu again.
@@ChrisJohnson1988 I got invested even more, to be honest. Because as much as I love Kiryu he basically was a walking slab of concrete. It's refreshing to have characters with actual emotions and aspirations.
@@ChrisJohnson1988 Personally, I like Ichiban more. Mostly because he feels a lot more vulnerable and human than Kiryu ever has. Not that Kiryu isn't either of those things, but Kiryu feels like the ideal of masculinity and honor while Ichiban feels like someone who struggles to be and sometimes falls short of being those things. He's just easier to relate to for me.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince Same, also the older I get the more I appreciate having a game where the protagonists are all like 40+ starting over from rock bottom but still being positive about it lol
Aw man, I'm hoping to see more of the ghost hunting in Y6 when you do come back to these games for the side content. There's not even a completion for them because they're supposed to be kind of hidden Easter eggs, but the fun of looking for spots in the city that cause that tiny rumble on your controller and the photos themselves are the reward in and of themselves.
1:58:32. I watched you're stream when you were trying to get the ghosts of Kiryu past friends and rivals. Congratulations. You got Yoshiobu Tokugawa. And I you managed to get Lau Ka Long. Lol. Hopefully you can find all of them.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I thought that letter was for haruka and was still tearing up. Then the statement of making him the sixth chairman. I died .

In the run up to this game's release and promotional material it was mentioned often "Kiryu's FINAL chapter". So the "death" scene really hit hard.
I was a senior in high school, and I remember when I beat the game, I skipped school the following day. The sadness was real lmao

She needs to play the last song, "Hands", it will unlock just when you end the game.
Bittersweet ending but for a guy like Kiryu this is the best outcome that couldve happened
