Why do most of the string ensemble patches sound "synthy?"

I still like the sound of the string patches on my Tyros 2! I own s970 and tyros 2. Piano on s970 has more realism, but something about the strings on tyros 2 - as mother, less brittle/synthetic to me

There's actually ways to edit each string instrument to make it sound more real. I have a Yamaha moxf8 and have 3 songs on my new channel that shows what this keyboard is capable of. Check it out!

Yamaha, take note. The string ensemble patches should have a bit more bite and rosin to them, like this:
