Shade’s forgotten because scrub players leveled him up thinking he’d be a free win for every single matchup, shade’s mechanically broken but has major setbacks which makes players not want to use him lmao.
as someone who maxed him upto 10 when he came out cos he looked broken, I barely use him anymore entirely because of the fact that he's so boring. especially that delay in his attack is so annoying. and he has a very meh character design too. i regret spending so much resources on upgrading him 🤦🏾
I at first i leveled him up to level 9 thinking he would be broken and i would be at mercy of ladder if i didn't, but turns he's pretty well rounded over all and i much prefer it this way. I hate when the meta revolves around just one broken brawler (Buzz Lightyear currently) and you're forced to play him if you want to have the slight chance of having fun on ladder, which ironically is one of the reasons he's forgotten right now ...
I feel like shade is kinda like sam, where he has a lot of ways to get extra movement speed, but at the end of the day all he can do is walk up to people
It feels like every other brawler that gets released is an assassin, and Shade isn't as fun or flashy as other popular assassins, that's why I think he's forgotten
Your videos still are and always will be good but the thumbnails and some other aspects of the video are starting to feel like they could’ve been made by anyone, they’ve not got that bedlam sparkle anymore
@the_absolute_silly I’m not talking about him getting slightly more family friendly, that’s not a horrible thing. If you take a look at his videos from 3 months ago he had a really good run of thumbnails that looked like they were different to the rest of the brawl stars content while still being engaging and informative. I don’t mean any disrespect to bedlam with any of this, he’s my goat, It’s because he’s my goat that i’m saying it
Love these types of vids! The humor is on POINT! Also, i feel like Chuck is lowkey underrated for 1v1’s. Not to say your opponent is bad, but a smart Chuck player can make some magic happen.
In some way, Shade kind of reminds me of Mortis; like: >Both assasins >Dependent on their super >Require some aiming skill at diferent degrees But unlike Mortis, who's completly melee and that's why he's very matchup-dependent, Shade has the opportunity to outclass a variety of brawlers with his pasing through walls ability; although the main struggle he has to suffer is that if the enemies play well, it will be much harder to effectively cycle his super. I think at this moment Shade is pretty balanced, even if encountering him in ladder as your enemy is hell, since no many know how to play against him in close maps (specially if one of your teamates is a dyna-jump Dynamike...)
because he doesn't instakill everything and jumps and throws rockets shade requires thinking, and people who play without thinking blame the brawler after losing🤭
bs players when new brawler doesn’t have 3 seconds of stun, 15k damage in a second, broken gadget, broken starpower, and when the brawler isn’t braindead:
eh he doesn't require all that much thinking especially on closed maps, has major disadvantages and works on only certain maps. i wouldn't have cared about low damage if he wasn't so boring especially with that delay in his attacks. also it's a game, some of us prioritise fun. if i cared about thinking so hard then i would be reading a book or doing something more intellectual instead of playing a moba
@@isaacleibniz2437some of us see thinking about how to win in a game (which involves strategy btw) as fun. it isnt mutually exclusive. thinking != boring. some of us like strategical battles over imagining scenarios from words in a book.
@@col2650 basic game sense isn't all that thinking. I consider that more fun than thinking. video games are entertainment, read a book and learn about imaginary scenarios and it'll make y wise and be actually useful. Appreciate your vids, man. SnakeThug has been the relatable YTer for me, but with his retirement on the horizon, I really appreciate finding you. I hope your channel takes off, dude.
I saw you putting Brock into losing matchup at the end as if he doesn't have knockback, wall breaks, and some control which puts him in at least neutral
Shade can be very fun, But charging up that super is a chore. On some of the harder maps you basically have to get good at dodging brawlers at mid range. Also if you don't get that sweet spot once, your DPS just tanks since his wind up is so long.
i would guess he’s so forgotten because of buzz lightyear in a way. two buzzes can go over walls, and they all have a dash to get away from his longarms gadget. The laser buzz kills him pretty quick too. Bet he’ll return more after feb 4th
Honestly I absolutly love him in every aspect. I feel like he is very balanced or a lil bit underwhelming. I always find a better brawler in a draft. I remember when he came out I expected him to be S tier so I would pick him on the worst maps possible which didn't work out very well. I also might be underrating him tho. I hope he becomes meta 1 day cuz if he is meta then Hank becomes meta too since he is Shade's best counter from my experience.
The problem is other assasins have at least some tool against range, Shade doesn't. Imo his clap then should release a wave of air the size of his center so he can have a small range attack like fang
I think I understand why people are starting to say the videos and thumbnails feel off I could easily say that the editing quality has improved, thumbnails, etc. but with that there’s a downside For one, the usage of b-roll stock footage and reaction images to what he says in the video could be more visually engaging and higher quality but it just ends up coming off as tacky and as others say “just another brawl stars UA-camr” Also it sounds more like he reads from a script now or adheres to one very closely which can be good but I think it distances himself from the more loose style commentary he provided before, it feels less like his old content and by extension himself I mean even the title mixed with the thumbnail feels like it’s straight off a different channel so I understand I think having a separate channel to express your more informational and edit heavy side could be beneficial so that people could still have more of the less scripted and personality driven content. That being said the improvement is really noticeable and that’s a good thing, just changing a few things while putting out the same effort from a different angle could be even better for fans and the content itself as to keep its identity. Keep up the great work man :)
Now we can see why Willow is a controller and not an artillery. Because she is good into assassins Also Mico could be higher because he is no longer 2 tappable by Shade, but he used shield gear sooo Ig its like if he had that hp buff in the video
The main reason I don't play him is because I didn't level him and was still busy with the new leveling system, I do however think he's so fun and will get to him for sure after getting my faves to rank 50
Hate to uhm actually, but Buster’s shield can bounce melee hits if they hit the shield, but I’m thinking since Shade’s attack ignores walls like Hank then there may not be a distance in which the attack bounces off.
I know I'm being cringe by saying this, but at 2:33 shouldnt his effective health be 10,000 instead of 9100. Because to factor in 30% damage reduction you need to divide his total health by 0.7 instead of multiplying it by 1.3
i have been trying for 2 hours to pull the gadget trick but i didnt susceed once :( the super one i am able to pull consistently but mann can you try the gadget trick again to make sure its not patched, maybe say right after this video dropped

Fun but map dependent. Also he can be countered even to those he supposed to counter(throwers) . His ult should be like Edgar not cordelius. Only noobs would let he cook his super. Supercell releasing incomplete brawlers period.
i rarely lose a 1v1 against shade with juju or larry.Juju with her super and gadget can fend of shade and if he comes close he will die unless he manages to hit 2 full shots in a row.Larry 3 shots shade and he can heal using his gadget.
You are definitely overestimating the new brawlers if even shade has a winning matchup into 61/87 brawlers.
