They made a lot of artistic liberties to make this slightly more appealing to the next generation. Suffice it to say after playing Reignited Trilogy with some of these "reimagined"/ "demake" into remake mods I don't really think it's the polygonal thing but rather some questionable remake choices by Toys for Bob.

Ah, memories. ^_^ This was the first game I ever owned (as in, it wasn't my brother's and I just got to play it sometimes). It's kind of neat that the voice acting is actually pretty good for a game made in an era where voices were often extremely stilted. Though Spyro's voice was much better in the next two games, I will say. And I may be wrong, but the first ending is the only time I can recall seeing Spyro stand on two legs like most of the big dragons did.
The japanese version seems to change some dialogue to provide additional info on the world or chraracters such as 8:37 Spyro asks what the women are doing with the pots, and Halvor says "those women are probably planning on..." either eating the little ones for dinner, or making dinner for the little ones
I wish the ignited trilogy had an option to toggle the original game and graphics. Something about the new graphics and voices just isn't as "soulful" as this.
I have a feeling that Alvar would be a mime, Nils becoming a president, Thor becoming like Marvel's Thor and Delbin becoming more of a mix of a warrior and PE coach. Oh Cyprin might ended up becoming a drag queen. :3
