Marvel NEEDS to stop downplaying Loki's powers, seriously, he's a hundreds years old god who's absurdly smart and who had plenty of time to learn magic and strategy, and all they give him is knives?? He's also a Jotun and Jotuns have ice powers and stuff. And his comic version is insanely powerful.

HE. IS. A. POWERHOUSE. but… I think one of the reasons he doesn’t use his magic in combat that much is really sad. In Asgard the called him an “ergi” because of his magic so to them magic is “womanly arts” and a disgrace to use on the battlefield for a man people talk a lot about woman being strong and that they can be like warriors too and yes but there really is also another side which fewer people see if a man like things that are considered “womanly” he gets shamed for it and I have heard a lot of girls call guys weak because they cried and they can just ROT… seriously though it’s kind of hypocritical sometimes in that case. So what I’m trying to say is that Loki got shamed for using his magic by Asgard so much so then he hesitates from using it too much in battle unless REALLY nessasarry
