Well, novels will still be here, be written, and be published , but readers, the casual readers of literary fiction as opposed to professional/academic readers, will be extinct.
@@ledeyabaklykova Funnily enough Plato and his followers believed writing would be the death of storytelling. Writing is ultimately a skill and is considered by many alongside music to be the highest form of art. So as long as the arts remain; so shall writing/literature. many of gave up tv a long time ago.......its for the mindless idiots who walk around staring at their phones desperate for someone to call or text them......sad state of affairs
"Almost blew me off my stool." He is too humble. He is apooet. Thatcher made Albion into a money grubbing maggot. Wow and a historian too. Does he write fiction?
The interviewer is dull, too chatty, and dumb. His questions are longer than the answers that follow. He loves the sound of his own voice. It’s kind of funny.
Many thanks, Martin. Peace.
"Tax cuts for the rich... there's not a country on earth that would whisper much less table it, pass it, renew it and give it a third term."
TV heads are more interested in amusement than life, Martin. They think they've got one.

You said it, my dear friend ❤️
144p or 240p? You do spoil us.
‘Attlee, what did he do?’ Was he joking?
I can't help but think novels will become extinct soon after our generation dies. The audience was shocked to hear Amis doesn't watch television.
Long live the Reading Class!

Thatcher was a narcissist prima donna educated in political economy by her wealthy husband. In the end she couldn't remember her lines.

Goes with being a Guardian writer.
A pity he didn't write anything that will last.
Naïve nonsense from Amis on Obama - lost all credibility.
a bit quick to dismiss?
3 years is quick? Now who has lost credibility?
Correct about Obama though.
Politics isnt amis' strong suit. At all. But the guy can write a sentence.
Obama was cliche . Just a leftist .
Amis has more than proven himself and shouldn't live in the shadow of Kingsley, however, he should stick to literary criticism. 'Nuff said.
