- DIY Do It Yourself Erin Condren Planner Covers | How to make a Planner Cover 2020 is what I am sharing in today's video. In my Etsy shop, I sell planner cover digital downloads for the Erin Condren 7x9 inch LifePlanner size. I would like to expand my offerings, but before I do that, I need to test to see if I can make my own covers at home. Today, I am attempting the EC covers. Next, I will do the same process with the Happy Planner.

What other planners would you like me to make a DIY video over?
Happy planner classic. Will probably be much easier since they have a special punch. I use it all the time for other things.
FYI - I have heard using the happy planner punch on laminated sheets ruins the happy planner punch ... However I haven’t tried it myself
Erin Condren does not have any A5 (5.8x8.3) Hello Kitty interchangeable covers for the A5 Life Planner. 😡 For us Hello Kitty lovers it just seems so obvious.

I have a 3/16" hole punch for my covers and it's a game changer! That way the holes are slightly bigger than the 1/8" and are a similar size to EC but you don't have to be so precise. It also makes it easier to put them on. I also have 7 mil laminating sheets. I feel like it's a happy medium between sturdy and not a pain to punch.

I use a EC notebook, and I don’t make my own covers, but thanks for sharing. I love your variety of covers. Watching and waiting for the next one
My daughter and I use Happy Planner - Big, Classic, Note sizes. We heard that the Staples Arc Punch will work on 10ml laminate. I checked on amazon and there are some good reviews so we are going to try again using this punch. We enjoy creating what we need for the inside but aren’t as artistic as you with your covers. Would love to be able to get some of yours as we are Disney fans too.
Arc punch does work on laminate. Just slightly shallower than the Happy Planner Punch,
Happy Planner has been my favorite for years.
I hope you will be able to offer half letter covers too. I use a 7 x 9 plum planner and a half letter. Love your covers.
I would love to do them for disc style planners. I use the TUL brand from Office Depot, but most of the covers are plain.
I do DIY EC covers using this process and also for other coiled planners - the only difference is I only use 3mil or 5 mil. The thinner is easier to punch and still works well for me as they are in a pouch if I’m out and about.
Did you use regular cardstock or glossy cardstock?

If you’re going to do happy planner with that laminate you’re going to need to pick up a chipboard punch quarter inch chipboard hole punch. Because happy planner is punches will not go through anything laminated. I don’t know of any disc bound punches that will punch through laminate. You have to use a regular strong circle hole punch and cut the slits yourself. I do that with my happy planner stuff all of the time. I recommend picking up the chipboard quarter inch hole punch it’s a single punch and you just do like you did for the Aaron Condron one but it’s a stronger punch and it’s designed to go through heavy chipboard which means it goes through laminate pretty easily.
Arc and Tul punches will punch through laminate and work with Happy Planner, they are just slightly shallower.

I’m thinking of copying the hole pattern on the RULER There are a lot less of those to experiment with
Also with your suggestion of alcohol to wipe off Mark - I could draw a line out and across for positioning Thrn remove it

I'm a Plum Paper girl. I do not make my own covers. Just use the custom feature on the website for Plum Paper.
This is super helpful. So they have a custom option like EC?
@@TheGoldProject It is more of a customizable with their fonts, colors, write what you want, they have designs to pick from, etc. But not to where you can download your own image as the cover. If that all makes sense.
