A Full Fledged GAS POWERED machine.. this boat floats and skips across the water like an arrow out of a bow! 50" and 7.4 HP - even for a brand new engine.. this thing is a ripper. Im sure when he gets it all dialed in, it will be a sight to see!

Because it's so heavy and slow.
This is one of my favorite boats, It doesn't just handle small ponds, but large lakes! I used to drive this boat behind our bigger boat, it could keep up with ease, I used to jump the wakes and larger crests. It handled beautifully!! Sadly now it just sits gathering dust. Thanks Medic for all your vids so I can still live vicariously through them.

The motor sounded like a 7.5 C.C , K&B . Have you considered going electric? THE boat, definitely has serious potential, as it it rock solid on the water. THE closest thing to this boat, is the Traxas, Spartan , on 8S ,and running in the low 70's. Our fast electric boat group, has two M41's and a couple of Sonic Wakes, and a Shreddy. ALL doing over 50-60+ . It's a different game, at that speed. I ran Class B . hydro's back in the 70's, But none of them ran out as nice, as your boat. I always hated messing with the Nitro stuff, and hard starting engines. THEN, the props were always goofy, depending on lake conditions. THE new FAST Electrics now , are more stable, and require less maintenance. Thx . for the video.

I’ve watched this video before, but I only realized now how good your camera work was. Really steady even when you zoomed way in to get the boat, then you zoomed out nice when it passed so you didn’t lose it. It’s a nice video!

I have never seen a 7.4 hp Zenoah RC engine, and I own a dyno (which I calibrated) and build them for a living.
A 7.4 hp Zenoah RC engine (running on gas)---does not exist.
+EarthSurferUSA Hey Doug! That Rev-Unlimited probably isn't putting out anywhere near 7.4 HP. Bruce Lykins can do some nice work but that's stretching the truth a tad. My son took a KOS out for a drive when a guy from Battle Creek came over to run with us one day and said that it's the worst boat he's ever driven. My son must have been around 25 or 26 at the time so it's not like he was a little kid and he's been running boats before he was 12. Look at the exhaust system. It's too long to do any good for a tuned pipe. I've got a Rev-Unlimited in my Stryker F-41 that was modded by Mike Ross at Suicidal and it runs very well.
Yes, you can get 7 HP Dyno'ed out of a Zenoah.

nice boat. but there's no fun in just buying a boat and running it to me with out build them from scratch like I do. you will appreciate the workmanship and time that you put into that boat building it. you just appreciate it a lot more.
Dude, Not Everyone has the time or abilities to build their own. But there are many quality builders to suit various budgets. Get out and Enjoy the RC Hobby Folks. #HMU if looking for help in the hobby.

Lol that engine probably weighs like 3 or 4 pounds, maybe my sizing is off just a little, but Harbor freights 6.5 horsepower engine weighs like 45 pounds. RC technology is crazy.
And this thing has an entire extra horsepower and weighs basically nothing
now compare the cost of them, even tho its pretty amazing

You guys are so dumb. Those little engines have no torque. Try putting one of the engines on a go cart, what do u think would happen
Todd Hays different uses mate, I promise you that engine does way better than a similar displacement engine made for lawn equipment, torque isn't everything or everyone wanting to have a fast car would have a diesel, or even a drag boat.
