I agree with you Dagwin, the "blue baby" did very well in the grass field. I will buy one to try myself - it looks fun to drive.
Ooooh, I like the way the Forschritt doesn't windrow stuff you've already mowed so you end up with the headlands intact not all over the place !
In American we call them swathers btw you are the best FS UA-camr.

Thank you for showing how to use this one. I hooked it up to the hitch and kept unfolding and it would flip over. I hooked up a seperate mower header by Claas. That one worked ok. I was going to just sell it back cause I couldn't get it to work. Thanks. I will give this a try. Looks like it works really good. I think I'll use it and hook a baler to the back of it. Then it will be cutting and baling all at once. Thanks again. This looks great.

the brand of the mower comes from the GDR, german democratic republic aka east germany. reminds me of my childhood. and Fortschritt means progress or improvement.
I had a pleasure of driving it, as a child. Sitting on my dad's lap, obviously lol
This machine was widely used in '90s when people didn't use chemicals to dry out colza. It was used to cut down colza and let it dry on sun, then few days/weeks later it was harvested.

I used to have one too. Started working with it when i was 15. Had its issues but did the work.

In ussr times,, when they were big farms controlled by goverment, farms bought these mainly for engine pats for mtz80 because it was way cheaper than tractor and they share same engine

We have a machine very similar here in Australia. It's just referred to as a windrower... and one of its main uses... believe it or not...is Canola. It gets windrowed...left to dry for about 2 weeks... and then picked up with a combine with a special header.
For the new Holland get wide tires + wheel weights so you want have to attach the weight to the back

The reason the Tedder blew it into the fence is because you mowed it the wrong way round you want your right side to the fence cause all the switches in the cab are there so it’s easy to see how close to the fence you are

I saw a video of some professional horse hay makers using New Holland machines similar to this and I was sad that I didn't see any of that model in the various mod hubs.

We make hay here we need 3 good hot dry days.
The swather was used to cut down canola before the combine
Swatter we had here in Kansas tredder the hay as it cut and windrolled it.
I think you should get a tractor mainly for front loader work

using a broom is easiest tool to clean up food without the machinery. and how do you get something to follow? have you tried the windrower 'merger'? wonderful machine

Hi Daggerwin, I do like those mower/series, its a bit expensive overall so not for the guy just starting out but very nice that helpers can work grass.
I want one called Moe, one called Ted, one called Rake and the last called Bale, bumper stickers or painted on.
Has anyone seen a mod to locate your stuff? I have often needed such an item. It could just be a switch in the garage, "tag item", just sayin.

Hi Daggerwin, i got a job. Im gonna help harvest Strawberries and potatoes this summer! Im actually really excited to work, since the owners were really nice. I earn 8danish kroner(a little over 1dollar) per kilo of strawberries. I could earn about 50 Danish kroner per hour when i help with harvesting potatoes. Im maybe gonna earn enough money to get a more powerful PC and FS19. And btw: im 14y/o

I don't understand tethering. What was the point of making a mess when it was already in tidy rows?
Tedding is turning the grass over so it can dry out properly. If it is baled without using the tedder it would be a grass bale rather than a hay bale.
