Talking about Michael Barrett's size, i think there is a Statue outside of the stadium of a LB that was about the same size of Barrett. and from what i understand about both of them, they have many other qualities as a LB too. remember Dan was coached by Sam Mills so this could be more than "just a guy" picked at 240
With this bills I don’t think they cared because they wanted Brian Thomas and didn’t like the other fits. The brooks one is interesting. It’s basically means either Chuba and or miles sanders are gone after this year. Most likely sanders if he plays like shit again. They also knew the giants and cowboys telegraphed they wanted brooks in the second round. The panthers traded back with the rams and then traded back up one spot ahead of the giants to make sure they didn’t get him.
I like Chubba/Brooks could be pretty good.

They weren't going to get better value than a HB with pick 46. That offense has nothing and desperately needs 1200+ yards from one player in this class right now. Not next year, but right now. The Panthers aren't going to get anything near that from Xavier Leggette as a rookie. I like Leggette but he is a very raw talent but isn't going to come right in and drop 1000 yards from the split end. A rookie TE is definitely going to take a year to develop inline or flex. You guys consistently assume that every 4th and 5th round HB will get the job done. You'll get a 1000 yard HB in rounds 4 or 5 but you won't consistently get that dual threat HB that will give you 1000 yards on the ground and 500 yards in the air. An instant cost controlled 1250 yard offensive piece to a QB in Youngs position that desperately needs a guy that take some strain of from pass protect and help set up PA. Bryce Young has had it the way everyone claims that Justin Fields had it

Did you not keep up with what they did in free agency? They signed 2 Gs and a swing tackle in case Ekwonu sucks again. Besides, the reason the line sucked was due to the center being a bad scheme fit and the starting guards playing a combined 4 games. And that 5th year option is important for a position like WR. Another year before you have to pay them 30+M if they're good.
All that took was dropping from a 5th to a 6th. Not the end of the world.

We lost almost nothing for moving up, just a pick swap that we used to grab a 2nd rounder next year. If Leggett is good, then having his 5th year is a great move. If he misses then drafting him 33 or 32 doesnt matter at all.
They're still finishing last in the NFC South. Bryce Young should not even BE starting, he should not have started last year and the Panthers are WASTING him with gadgets and band-aids. "weapons"? LOL. It's a team rotting from the inside out.

Bryce hasn’t been able to show us what he’s capable of, and nobody is saying we are going to the playoffs. I personally think we will win like five games, but you have got to understand anything is better than 2-15 🙏

The panthers had the worst offensive scheme in the league last year. Of course Bryce didn't play perfect (missed a wide open deep ball to Mingo at saints which I had to watch live), but our plays were limited because either the O-Line collapsed too early or the WRs created no separation. IF he underperforms this year with these 'gadgets' and 'band-aids' *actual help* then you can argue that he shouldn't be starting
@@noahh2115 Yeah Jesus can’t show his skills at QB if he had NO receivers outside a 30 year old being able to separate, no oline, no playbook, AND two coaches in ONE year.. The fact he didn’t get injured at like 5’9 while getting sacked 60+ times says enough.. Kid had nobody to throw to and still wasn’t just out here chucking a Zach Wilson like season.. It’s easy to see he’s not gonna be a “Cam Newton” like player that’s just single handedly bringing the panthers to glory.. But like Russell Wilson in an offense set around his strengths it’s CLEAR he’ll thrive..
