Never done that myself but I do fly a pedalboard in a similar case and I’ve reinforced it with some coreflute board for extra protection for all the knobs etc. Might be worth a go?
I check my two Ltd’s with a double case cause I don’t wanna be “that guy” that case has never failed me. Guitars are always fine. Invest in a good bag and let it do its job haha
@@cranbournemusiconline oh I meant that you can have them check it in the luggage compartment before stepping on the plane, this way it doesn't go through the conveyor belt, and it's not crushed by other luggage, they usually hand it back to you as you step out of the plane

why don't you gate check it instead?
You can’t do that in Australia. Carry on sizing and weight is strict & you’ll be charged extra if you’re over the limits.
