Good evening Nizi! Morozevich liked 5 Nce2 in that line. He played it a lot on ICC and he had lots of handles there (I can think of at least 6 of them). It was a fabulous first game and who would have thought Ding would come up with a game like that?!?! I couldn't believe the time use by Ding either. It is very easy to forget that Ding is capable of that after what we have seen over the last year or two. At least Gukesh has a lot of time to recover. Game 2 could be huge!!! Keep up the analysis my friend, you're excellent at it. :0)
I must admit it was really beautiful to see how he played so fast in around 15-25 moves. Amazing performance, he worked hard to understand the position and then just started to play quickly with confidence Let's see what will be today...

Thank you so much!
Not sure I will upload everyday analysis but I decently will try
Appreciate your comments as always and agree with you
I don't know why but when Gukesh played pawn to g4 , I realized he is in bad position.
Best of luck Gukesh for your next matches..
I saw that he said g4 was in his mind but didn't forget what to play after Qa5
Unexpected definitely, wow! 😮
Absolutely ! Shocking moments
what a start!!!
Absolutely
I was surprised Gukesh didn't play 20. Rfc1 (rather than 20. Rac1?) opening f1 for the king bishop. I thought Gukesh was positionally lost after that.
Interesting
Maybe
I need to check it
Actually ding is on fire !!!
Ding! 👑
Its looks like all the time ding spent is for calculating all the possible variations and just went for the win!
