Rare to see someone went on to be in charge of an SCP and actively made it and the rest of the Foundation better.
Bro when are you?
I'm very glad this happened. Too many scps are cautionary tales about using anomalies to prove the contain only mentality right, or tales where it IS a bad thing but nothing is done about it. Been wanting a change of pace for a while.
You comment makes me think this will be yet another overly meta story that is full of the writers naive worldview. With potential for gender confused characters.
I miss the old stories of spec ops team taking on cosmic horrors
@@carlsonbench1827those still exist pal
"I got it! You know that injury Maslov has that prevents her from healing anyone, including herself? Let's give it to the Phoenix! I'm sure that will make it heal itself even more than before, so we can skim a little off the top for ourselves!"
It's like a kid coming up with a plan to scrape their knee so they can get a lollipop from the doctor and then deciding the best way to do so is to jump headfirst into the Grand Canyon.
I bet this SCP would have a thriving practice in Avalon as a trauma doctor
oh dear it's another time traveller
there's 4 of you guys here
Mmmm, a *flying* doctor
@@user-pr6ed3ri2k channel members get the scp early
That’s my favorite SCP, interesting thought
Foundation Healthcare becoming better than your average Health Insurance Provider?! That truly is anomalous.
Low bar
"Head cannon nonsense, preposterous, unheard of, fan fiction, heresy, unthinkable, madness don't be swayed by its lies!
*RUN* Otakujoo87! FLEE this SCP masquerading as an SCP entry on the Exploring Series about healthcare minus the strings that keep us bound to the system!"
(Is what should normally happen but this seems legit, false alarm on my end brother one can never be too sure🙏🏾😅😅)
We sorely need more Maslovs in the medical field.
Bah, we need more Maslovs everywhere
There’s actually a 120’s Archives tale in the works that revolves 8002 and Maslov makes a reappearance.
Amen
In typical foundation fashion, the seemingly quite chill phoenix who was totally cool with instantly, effortlessly outputting 1000x more healing radiation than the facility had ever seen was promptly shot with a reality rod and nerfed forever. Brilliant.
It’s fuckin sad man. It reminds me of the iron giant kinda. He’s big and intimidating but he’s good, and in the end he gets fucked by the big man
It's refreshing to get a happy ending from a universe so grim.
"Phoenix downs don't always work. I'm looking at you, Aeris."
..Aerith.
And don't forget General Leo from 6... most mundane death ever and even Phoenix down couldn't fix.
apparently neither does life with holy on that point
@@StormClassX he should have been a playable character instead of umaro lol
Oh my god, is that an "All About Random Battles" reference?
The corruption and greed in the real world that leaves us with such a crisis is sadly far from anomalous and somehow it’s vindicating that it made it into one of my favorite universes.
The best part is watching one of the workers who where in the trenches get absolute power and then they do every measure possible to make it a well oiled machine better than original
Thank you, TES, for choosing such a neat anomaly with such an unexpected ending. Not to spoil, but i really needed this
"8 hr ago" comment on a video uploaded 1 min ago.
How??
@@raihanhossain2035Patreon gets early releases
H... how badly did you need it? /j
I know what you mean...
This and the rainbow serpent really got to me.
@@LezlyLikesYuri yeah, except the ending of the Serpent one isn't as wholesone
The O5 council approving a higher hiring and training budget for a facility working at less than 30% it’s original efficacy definitely sounds anomalous lol
The true intention was to kill the demigod Phoenix. IF it happened to be ~actually immortal~ THEN containment would at least be easier/possible (ALSO: any "excess healing light" it may keep given would be repurposed... or not).
-> The current situation looks like if The Serpent Hand had took over the place. Not a bad trade for anyone (including the Phoenix).
Hearing the Phoenix is at end of its regeneration process: "Immidiately thought of way of anomously restarting that process." Probably consuming too much SCP content and mfw *are we the baddies?*
A very well written SCP. Its refreshing to see the Foundation actually learning from their mistakes.
I think the idea is great but the dialogue and overall writing is extremely poor. Not even the superior narration saves it. This is the first one in the series I’ve felt like this but I have been going through the backlog. There’s so many cringe worthy moments and dialogue I couldn’t get past it.
@ejsickler I do see how some parts may have seemed predictable or monotonous, but I still found the story to be entertaining overall.
@@SCPAE I really like the idea. Maybe I’ll check it out again in the future or read the scp on the wiki.
@ejsickler But you are right that exploring series definitely makes the story more appealing through his excellent narration, and if tbh I end up listening to his videos more often then I end up reading thr SCPs themselves, but I guess that's more a matter of preference.
@ejsickler Christ, you're a harsh critic.
It's so bewildering seeing an SCP that was fairly awful (as in the SCP Foundation being the SCP foundation and all) for it to turn out so freaking wholesome.
Agreed, this was screaming impending doom. Unexpectedly pleasant
Part two to the Foundation's hubris, let's GOOOOOOO
Edit: I'm SO glad this had a happy ending! The Doctor + [redacted] survived, the world didn't end, and in spite of the bureaucratic idiocy in the foundation, reforms were made.
The so called reforms mostly just amount to throwing money at Maslov and her team; no matter what the problem, nepotistic corruption is not a good solution.
Literally the fentanyl crisis
And it's telling that the world we live in is now so dark that it is anomalous to have hope, and that makes it into the SCP database.
Wait are you being serious that hope is on the SCP database or are you joking?
It's a parallel to the opioid crisis in general, I think.
Definitely saw a glimpse of the sackler family with how the foundation initially dealt with the addiction problem.
I was thinking similar
Except doctors absolutely knew it was addictive. And Mazlov absolutely should have known. Either had an ego bigger than the Phoenix or was incompetent as a doctor and relying mostly upon magical cures that certainly don't have any side effects, except they always do.
@whitemagus2000 yeah, she's not the hero she seems to think she is. She exacerbated the issue herself.
Foundation: "Let's injure the thing we want healing from with the stuff that took away one of our staff's healing abilities, I'm sure it will turn out just fine"
As a healthcare worker, this SCP article hits deep.
I’m having so much trouble falling asleep you posting this rn is a life saver thank you so much
SAME
The Phoenix symbolized life and rebirth. Its fire can bring the rejuvenating energy of life and heals even the greatest of wounds.
Mazlov absolutely should have known that weekly treatments to reduce pain, forever are addictive. Either had an ego bigger than the Phoenix or was incompetent as a doctor and relying mostly upon magical cures that certainly don't have any side effects, except they always do.
The most fictional part of this entry is a bureaucratic institution like the Foundation listening to reason and actually increasing the hospitals budget and staffs pay.
with the name Maslov's Fire i was thinking she was going to become the new healing
Saaaame. Or that it would be a failed last ditch effort and both her and the SCP would die
"hmmm.... This injury took away this reality benders ability to heal"
"Give the thing that we need to heal us the same injury but even BIGGER, that should make it heal more!!!!!"
Some parts of the foundation are run by absolute morons lmao
I mean, the injury did not take the ability away, it just forced Maslov to use all of it just to heal herself faster than it was killing her. So I'd say I get where the Foundation was coming from, even thou I do not agree with their idea.
@@Dzekin exactly, it wasn't unreasonable to think the bird could outdo her, considering it could oneshot the same disease. That being said, the foundation should have tested the anomaly much more extensively before using it on the bird.
TES let's crack that million subs, The standard for story narration on UA-cam.
This was one of the best SCP videos to listen to, with its message of betterment for its employees, populace and the anomaly(s) itself.
Reminds me of a certain chair turned flower bed, as an example that the Foundation doesn't exist solely to protect humanity from the anomalous, but also to protect the anomalous from humanity.
*OH BOY! IT'S 3AM!!*
☕️
🍔 Part 2, extra unreality
6 pm for me, a lovely evening post
1 pm here 😂
“C’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon”
*doesnt move*
It's always wonderful to see an ending like this among scps. So rare, as it should be, that such a good ending happens. Thank you for covering this. You're awesome 😁
aww they saved the chimkum
Phoenix tear reviving dead
The whole hierarchy of needs was met in this article
Always makes my night when I see you have posted
An SCP story with a happy ending left me bewildered. Maybe it’s because I’ve been listening to SCP stories on this channel for a while and expected a horrible ending. A welcomed addition to the SCP universe.
One day this mans gonna throw us off and upload at 1:59 instead.
I had been worried that this was a golden goose type of situation. I'm glad that it was a better result than that, but they were still really stupid...
Only the foundation could fuck up so bad they almost killed a phoenix
This is definitely one of my favorites. Always love your vids.
Hooray!!! Been waiting (impatiently) since part 1.
2am exploring series upload to listen to before bed! :D
Great video interesting article. Love you TES!
Seeing your upload made my entire day
An SCP analog to the current opioid crisis. I'm so here for it.
This SCP has very quickly become my favorite read. TES did an excellent job!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
A happy ending. I am about to cry.
The 8Kon had a lot of great entries, but out of all the ones I read, I felt that only two really *deserved* to win the contest. Maslov's Fire was one of them. I'm honored to have voted for it.
Thank you for these. I fall asleep to them all the time
This one is so good! Great job
I really like that you chose this Anomaly. It's a very good story and it very well illustrates how one can affect change in an organization that does not serve its employees.
Thank you tes.
This is the first SCP to ever make me cry 😭
Fantastic! Thank you!
Was waiting for this :D
Finally I've been waiting since the first one dropped
Well I was planning on going back to sleep but that plan has been shot.
the rare super-happy ending. thanks for uploading!
Ty Maang 😊❤
LETSGOOOOO new vid
edit: that ending is just amazing
yaaaay! i love the occasional happy end 🥹❤️
Any chance this reformed Site and its gloried mage medic leader will create a separate organization that'll be the SCP take on the Red Cross or the Salvation Army?
Headcanon Accepted.
This is one of the most satisfying SCPs I've listened to. Man, hats off to the writer and excellent reading as always TES
Surprised how positive this turned out. Treating people decently, a good ending.
What a beautiful story
What is the scp affecting maslov’s healing ability? Is it something you’ve already covered? Plz link if so. Thx
I really do like this new trend of non-nihilistic themed SCPs.
Well that went surprisingly well.
I liked this one a lot
I love these reminders that the Foundation is among the bad guys.
Loved this SCP 🤖👍
A happier ending in the SCP universe, who woulda seen that coming.
8 seconds new record
I was really expecting you to say it was their golden goose at the very end there but golden ticket is acceptable I reckon
Hopefully you’ll do the new Admonition article soon!
Great SCP
❤ great upload
And this is why the SCP foundation needs a workers union.
1 am is the perfect time to drop a video, thank you sir.
it took me way to long to realise the whole thing was litteraly killing the golden goose lol
Thank you sir
they stabbed a legendary chicken with a semi-real stick just because they thought it would make it heal stuff better? are we sure these guys are scientists?
Hey man, can you do a part 2 for the department of abnormalities
splendid
We're back now with 100% more phoenix
Different as far as scp go for several reasons, but I like it.
articles like these make me understand why so many beings, both anomalous and not, hate the foundation. inside and outside of it. The test regarding the anomalous sludge was not only dangerous to the creature itself, it threatened to destroy its healing abilities alltogether for no particular reason other than the Foundation wanting to exploit the creature further. The bird was probably in immense pain, simply because a few dumb as bricks "managers" had no backup plan for what would happen if CR-Radiation suddenly seized. Entirely relying on CR-Treatment for everything was so extremely careless towards any and all employed staff and Civilians.
Oh boy! 3 am!
We all need a Mazlov
Hell yeah
Present!
Ok..
Let's burn this!!
Is the next part of the amoni-ram series finished yet?
A giant phoenix? 2:03
yeah one minute after upload wooohoo
14:57
Well...that was a terrible idea...
Finally a good ending.
So i originally came for the SCP vids, but i stayed for the warhammer and audiobooks. Whens the next audio book? Or are you solely doing SCP vids?
OH YEAH ITS 1AM
yay happy ending
A big enough fire can consume all the oxygen in the world and everyone be dead. Let the old snake die let the devil die for his feuds on everyone... Play Phoenix can't heal all if they don't find what is that that hurts them.
