RV electric brake magnet HD 1080p

had a weird trailer in the shop the other day. customer said there were no brakes. I found 6 broken wires. it was wired in series which means one broken wire can make the whole circuit fail. here's a quick video on how to measure brake magnet resistance.

So the dont work right . They need a individual line & realy so whe you apply the brake they work properly?

So if I cut my wires hook to a meter and they read nothing it’s bad?

Not sure what you mean by nothing and where did you cut the wires? On my meter an open circuit shows OL

@@brandonhester6096 55 seconds into the video shows testing one magnet. If your meter is set correctly I would say the magnet is bad if it’s reading OL

@@brandonhester6096if you’re set to read ohms it should see around 3 ohms. If it shows nothing at all then the magnet is bad or you’re meter isn’t set to ohms. If it reads OL then it’s also bad and/or you have a short to ground somewhere in between your meter and magnet you’re testing.

@@theclamhammer4447 I got it figured out. It was mixture of bad magnets and drums. I replaced all of it then it fixed my problem.
