My husband is jealous too. 😉 But I’ve raised our puppies from the day they came home with us. I’m medically retired, so I’m home with them 24/7 and I’ve done all their training, grooming, everything. So my little fuzzballs (two shih tzu) are total mama’s babies.

Ha same here, i work from home she is a school teacher so they bonded with me more and drives her crazy! Can’t tell you how many times I heard her say “excuse me but I live here too” when they are clinging to me
Before she passed away, everyone in my family said I was our husky's favorite person. She always slept in my room, waited at the door for me to come home from work, followed me everywhere and laid beside me.
Annoyed my family as she was ths family dog, not strictly my dog, like our previous husky was.
Kaylyn would always struggle, squirm if brother or mom tried to hold her and didnt enjoy cuddling from them. But with me she loved being held and cuddled.
We had a girl pug some lady gave to us cause we had other pugs. Turns out she had a medical issue and needed surgery. We got it for her. I have never had a dog love me as much as that dog did. She stayed with me no matter what, even would just sit with me if I went to bed early and my wife was still up. She loved my wife but it was totally different with me and I loved that big girl more than anything on this planet. She has passed on now and I miss her every day.
100% correct, although our dog goes to every family member, my DOG named Diesel is always with me when I'm home, and according to my family when I'm away Diesel, goes around looking sad, and sits on the driveway near the gate and sleeps, looking up at any car sounds, and when I get home he's so full of joy jumping and barking a welcome, from Durban South Africa
Dogs know who really love them as opposed to those that show love when others are around
My American Boxer , passed away last year , he was a lover , but when my Son stopped over , he was never happier ! Was fading away for the last few weeks , my Son stopped in on his way home from work , he was sitting on the floor petting him , when he took his last breath , almost like Max was waiting to see him one more time , Awesome Dog !

I don't know what it is, but I can just sit down and dogs come to me and show their interest and more. I grew up with a dog, and I used to work with people, so it might be general openness, but it's just weird that I have this effect on dogs.

so i rescued a stray dog mixed german shepherd got him vaccinated everything taken care of, guys can you help with any advice to get him to love me even more he’s 6-7 months old
When they're puppies they're all over the place. As long as you spend time with them, play with them, take them on walks, show them affection they will bond with you and imprint on you. It can be difficult at times but it will pay off in the end 🙏 Usually the first 2 years of their life they are learning everything and can maybe be destructive. Be patient and understand it's basically a little kid right now for the next year and a half. Wish you guys the best!

My wife and son got a Swiss mountain dog right before I retired. I walk the dog, feed the dog, spend my day with the dog , and give him snacks. That is why I’m his favorite.

My wife always spouled our dogs with food and she allowed the dogs to sleep with her. She was willing to let the dogs hog the bed to keep in there good books.
