- It's been a long time coming but we have a special guest in our friend Josh Pate, the host of Late Kick Live on 247Sports and frequent contributor on CBS Sports HQ.
Pate discusses the Michigan football season that was, why the Wolverines were the last great national champion. Why the Connor Stalions saga means nothing when it comes to the validity of said national championship, evaluating teams as a national analyst, and then the outlook of the Michigan Wolverines team in 2024 as it pertains to having a lot of high-end talent on the roster.

@thomasbrisbane9454 agreed. I go here and to Michigan Podcast. I do enjoy Uncle Lou's analysis as well along with Mark Roger's, but Isaiah Hole is just on a different level. Sam Web is great too, his film breakdowns with Vance Bedford and Al Borges is awesome.

I am the wizard behind the curtain that lead Michigan to a Natty last season, and will do the same for 145.
With Charleston and Walker in the mix at wide receiver, I feel very good about the outlook for the receiving rotation. Colston Loveland, Tyler Morris, Donovan Edwards, Frederick Moore, and Semaj Morgan make up the top five receivers on the team. I REALLY like that rotation. Honestly, Loveland could be the best receiving tight end (big-bodied receiver) in the nation. Edwards could be one of the best receiving threats out of the backfield in the nation as well. Morris looks like the next man up at WR1. Michigan literally doesn't go into overtime with Bama if he didn't outrun the entire Tide defense for a TD. Moore and Morgan were highly regarded recruits coming out of high school too, just look at their offer sheets. I'm excited to see what these kids can do!
Josh did always pick against Michigan but I thought he was very fair in his Connor Stallions investigation analysis and wanting to see hard evidence.

I generally agree with Pate's analysis of CFB as a whole except for how he views Michigan. He always undervalues us, and it's disappointing.
I hope everyone undervalues us.... to their own peril. Especially ohio.

Not a fan of Josh Pate, to be honest. Michigan’s National Championship Team could face the worst Dynamite Under 10 team and he’d still pick against Michigan. Didn’t do his credibility much good. Then, he did as much as anyone beating the “Michigan are a bunch of cheaters” drum. He’s a slappy for the SEC.
I've watched Josh a lot. I didn't feel he was beating the cheating drum. He did pick against Michigan a few times last year and that's his choice. He was wrong. He gave Michigan credit for their wins and National Championship.
