- Érik Isaac Morales Elvira (born September 1, 1976), best known as Érik Morales, is a retired Mexican professional boxer. He is the first Mexican-born boxer in history to win world titles in four different weight classes, having held the WBC and WBO super bantamweight, WBC featherweight (twice), WBC and IBF super featherweight, and WBC light welterweight titles.
Morales defeated fifteen world champions during the course of his career, and is famous for his trilogies with fellow Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera, as well as Manny Pacquiao. He is ranked #49 on ESPN's "50 Greatest Boxers of All Time".

The reason is that Morales came to Groggy in the 6th round, and when the chance came, the referee stopped the fight. I am a fan of Ji In-Jin Champ and also a fan of Morales. But one thing is for sure, Morales won the score. You can tell by looking at them, two really great boxers, and I'm sure it's one of the best fights ever.

Chi was tough and came to fight and has a great chin. Erik was a legendary champion and bounced big shots off Chi’s head the entire fight. What I want to know is where did this ref come from? He allowed Chi to foul Erik all night. I thought he would take points fr push Erik’s head down and hitting him on the back of his head.

I had it 115/113 for morales. I think that stop was odd but if you slow it down and watch it the right hand didn’t land flush on morales he deflected most of the damage off his own glove. Still I have majority of the later rounds to the Korean. If the Korean had knocked eric down he would have won it. He the ref was quick to break them up at times, however the Korean was rabbit punching way to often.

Totally agree on the scorecard, the 3 stooges had the right winner, the wrong score. Chi did so damn well against Erik I don't know how the hell his stock didn't skyrocket after this performance. And it showcases how frickken tough these Koreans really are. This goes all the way back to 'Nam, apparently of all the foreign troops the VC fought in the war, the only ones they had any fear of mixing it up hand-to-hand with were the South Koreans.

When morales becomes the aggressor he looks great. When he becomes a counter puncher not so much. Hard to knock a person out when your back peddling. This fight was not his best.

La pelea de box se gana por los golpes que se colocan t los mejores golpes no por la cantidad de golpes que tiran din ser colocados. Tambien por descuentos de golpes mal colocados osea pot faul y de algun corte por cabezados o antebrazos que viene hacet un drscuento por el que lo hizo una oelea sucia a proposito osea mañoso para pelear eso fue lo qye hizo el boxeador chino.
