The point he makes is right, in warfare there'll be collateral damage but the issue is the way he makes the point. The attitude. Each life lost is precious. This laugh normalizes the actions where it should've been the exception. In Mahabharata, after so much Kauravas have done, the Lord himself wants to make peace and asks just for 5 villages. I like everything abt su.swamy but why try to scrutinize and validate only who is a brahmin and not other castes. Lets do it for other castes too. It is not the first time we are witnessing this guy's immature response to something so serious. And I am not being a leftist or any agendavadi here. What I am asking is for a minimal decency for thousands of innocent people who lost their lives in this war.
As I have clearly said in my previous comment that, I have no sympathy towards violent terrorist organisations like LTTE and its leaders who themselves were involved in gross human rights violations. However, this doesn't justify the killings of thousands of innocent children and their parents in such inhuman brutal way.
It is my personal view, Swamy is independent to keep and express his own views. The least thing I expected from a senior leader like Swamy was some decency for innocent people who lost their lives. They were also someone's mother, father, daughter and son. You don't have to be a genius to understand that kind of loss, you just have to be sensible enough.
Dr. Swamy is perhaps the most brilliant politician in South Asia. India is lucky to have him. What clear thinking! Intellect so incisive and sharp. He rearranges the theory of chaos and breaks it down into simply a change in human attitudes. What a supremely intelligent man. Unafraid to speak his mind, he does not pull any punches. Puts everything into the right perspective with his lucid thinking. A real pleasure to listen to him. Great interview! All people should see this.
